Your first dive, after class, will be at MUSA (Museo de Arte Subacuático). MUSA is an underwater statue installation not found anywhere else in the world. Pocna Dive Center is the only 5-star PADI IDC center on Isla Mujeres. All of our instructors and guides are trained to the highest standard. Safety is a huge priority of ours, as is delivering an experience of a lifetime. Prepare to be blown away by the beauty that lies under the waves!

No prior experience with scuba diving is required. If you wish to try scuba diving but are not ready to take the course or just have an afternoon to enjoy, then the PADI Discover Scuba Diving is for you. This quick and easy introduction to scuba diving will take you to some of our most famous sites in Isla Mujeres. A perfect place to take your first “plunge” with ideal conditions for making this a dive a life-changing experience. At 10mt/33ft depth, visibility up to 30mt/100ft visibility and an average water temperature of 27ºc/80ºf the Manchones National Park offers the most incredible conditions for the new diver. Your first dive will be at the famous MUSA where you can see over 400 statues sunk for diving purposes. Then your second dive, when you are more comfortable and ready to dive a reef, will be on the magnificent Manchones Reef where it is not uncommon to see turtles, rays, eels, and a huge variety of marine life.

5.00This was my third dive ever. The level of expertise and professionalism was beyond my expectations. My guide, Ruben, was extremely attentive to me during the pool instruction phase, and even more so during the two dives, always checking with me if things were ok. The equipment was in great shape. It was a beautiful experience where I felt safe and well taken care of.

5.00I had my first uncertified dive experience and it was much better than I expected. From the beginning the whole process was very professional and safe. Before going to sea, Ruben explained each step with a lot of patience and we practiced first in a pool. That helped me a lot to understand the equipment, breathing and how to move underwater. During the dive, the guide was always watching me, conveying security and calm. Thanks to your accompaniment I was able to enjoy the moment, relax and appreciate the marine life. I totally recommend this experience and especially Ruben for his dedication, patience and professionalism. If this is your first time diving, there's no better way to start.

The highlight was exploring the incredible underwater MUSA museum—such a unique and unforgettable experience. 5.00Ruben was a great instructor for us as inexperienced divers. He was very patient during each step of the experience and helped us feel safe throughout by answering questions and going at our pace. We appreciated his ability to prepare us for the dive while also managing all of our equipment for us. Would go back and dive with them if back on the island.

5.00As a first time diver, I was both excited and a little nervous about taking the plunge, but thanks to Ruben it turned out to be one of the most incredible experiences of my life! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel at ease. They explained every step with Care answered all my questions and made sure I was confident before getting in the water. Once underwater, it was pure magic. The vibrant marine life, the feeling of weightlessness and the sheer beauty of the ocean left me speechless. Ruben stayed close the entire time, constantly checking in and guiding me with gentle encouragement. I never once felt unsafe or unsure. What really stood out was the passionate enthusiasm from the whole team. They didn’t just take us diving. They gave me a memory that will last a lifetime If you’re thinking about trying scuba diving for the first time, I would highly recommend this company. Thank you for making my first dive so special!

I want to highlight especially Tito and Fede, who made every moment memorable; Tito with his patience and knowledge, and Fede with his energy and good humor. From the excellent equipment to the stunning dive sites full of marine life, everything was spotless. If you are looking for a safe and exciting diving adventure, Poc Na is the best option. I hope to be back soon!

5.00Can’t say enough good things about our experience with Pocna! It was truly the highlight of our trip. Our instructor Fred, was an excellent guide. He did a great job in the pool pre departure going over skills and made sure we all had enough practice reps to be successful in our open water dive. The effectiveness of his instruction could clearly be seen in the skill progression of our small group. My girlfriend had some difficulty equalizing the pressure in her ears on the way down in the open water dive and he was by her side the entire time and did a great job helping her resolve her issues. During the dive he was extremely attentive - the underwater communication (via hand signals that were taught to us) was effective and allowed the group to work together in a calm and fun manner. He also went above and beyond to help us get some cool footage of some turtles and an eel on our GoPro. They have extra scuba masks on board in case you don’t enjoy your dive experience, or aren’t able to participate in scuba due to health issues. I truly can’t say enough great things about our experience. long story short - if you have ever thought about trying scuba this is the place and the company to do it with. At one point in the evening our guide said, “In the water you are my family,” and he certainly backed it up.
