Valencia is the birthplace of the world-famous paella - from the market to your plate, learn step-by-step how to make this traditional dish!

First, your local guide will take you to visit Mercado Central de Valencia - Europe's largest food market. Here, you'll buy your fresh ingredients. For evening tours and tours on Sunday, the Central Market is closed so we will skip this step and go straight to the cooking!

You’ll then go to the paella kitchen for a live paella workshop with a professional chef. Follow along step-by-step at your own cooking station and learn the local tips and tricks of what makes this dish so special.

After the class, sit back and enjoy some local tapas, wine and, of course, your very own paella.

Your paella cooking class Valencia finishes with a sweet treat before returning to the meeting point accompanied by the guide.

Mercado Central is closed in the afternoon/evening and on Sundays. Any tours happening in the afternoon/evening or on Sunday will not enter the market.

For tours not visiting the Central Market, the duration is 3hrs and available at a lower price

Really fun and interactive experience. Chef Daniel is super helpful and explains everything. It’s a great time to learn paella and talk to the folks around you as well.

Reyes was a fantastic host, she showed us around the market, explaining lots about different ingredients. The venue was really lovely, and Emma kept the different wines flowing. We learnt alot from reyes and look forward to attempting a classic paella at home! Many thanks

This was such a great experience, I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. Daniel and Isabel were great hosts and excellent teachers. We had so much fun cooking and met some really interesting people while we were there. Our paella turned out great and we plan to cook this in the future when we get home. The wine served were delicious and the tapas were a great treat along the way. The space where this was held was so cute and well decorated, we felt right at home when we stepped into the kitchen. The small class size made it intimate and you get a lot of attention from Daniel as you cook. Beyond worthy of your time and cost, this was an activity we won’t forget and will make use of again and again.

My daughter and I had a great time experiencing the market and the cooking class! I would be in the market everyday if I lived here. We expect paella will join the meal list upon our arrival home. Daniel and Emma were exquisite host and teachers!
