Journey through the Palestinian Territories and the Gush Etzion Settlement Block. Explore the complexities of Bethlehem and Hebron. Have lunch with a Palestinian family in Hebron, and have the option to spend the night with a middle class Palestinian family in Bethlehem. The tour combines the historical and religious highlights of the area, and explores the history and politics of Israel’s Occupation of the West Bank. You’ll visit Abraham’s Tomb, the Church of Nativity, Israel’s ‘Separation Barrier’, a refugee Camp, view the ‘settlements’, and walk the ghetto neighbourhoods of Hebron.

Dress Code: Hebron and Bethlehem are religious cities with socially conservative residents, and we ask you to respect this by dressing appropriately. The rule of thumb is that the only skin that should be showing is the face, lower arms, and hands. Basically no shorts for men or women - trousers (pants) are best for men and women - shirts closed to the neck and over the shoulders. If the weather is hot wear light loose clothing.

You'll travel from Tel Aviv through Jerusalem then through the Gush Etzion settlement bloc, the guide will explain the history and current status of these Israeli communities and their impact on surrounding Palestinian villages.
Kiryat Arba
On entering Hebron you'll first visit the Israeli suburb of Kiryat Arba, and exclusive Jewish enclave at the edge of the city and the subject of much controversy. The visit will include Baruch Goldstein's tomb
Cave of the Patriarchs
Visit Abraham’s Tomb (Me'arat Hamachpela / Al-haram Al-Ibrahimi), and have the opportunity to enter both the Mosque on the Muslim side, and the synagogue on the Jewish side. Make sure you have your passport.
Hebron
Walk down Shuhada Street and through the Old City. See the settlers' compounds and the military base and checkpoints along the route connecting them. Lunch in the Old City
Hebron Glass & Ceramics
Visit a local Glass Factory, a common industry in Hebron.

Mar Saba Monastery
Start the morning with a visit to Mar Saba - that offers spectacular views of the Judean desert and Monastery.
Church of the Nativity
From there we will head to Manger Square, where we will visit the Church of Nativity and walk through the Old City.
Enjoy a traditional Palestinian Lunch at a local restaurant. Next, the guide will then take you for an up-close walk along the Separation Barrier that surrounds the city. Learn about the impact of the Wall on local Palestinians and how it has been used for art/graffiti by various artists, including Banksy. Visit the Walled Off Hotel, developed to attract tourists to this once abandoned area in Bethlehem - and to provide the history of the occupation through art at the museum inside, as well as to help local artists display their works in the Gallery.
Aida Camp
You'll visit the Aida Refugee Camp, and have the opportunity to meet with locals in the Camp and hear their stories.

5.00Incredible experience!! From planning the trip to the tours and coordinating with the team, Green Olives were amazing and accommodating. The tours provided all the relevant context of the occupation of Palestine, which is essential to understand the current situation. These were backed by facts and stories and personal experiences of the tour guides who shared how they continue to live under oppression and apartheid. Our experience with Yamen in the west bank was incredible, as a local of Bethlehem he provided an essential personal touch to the experience. You felt you were with a local hero was committed to supporting Palestinians in need and in the refugee camps. Very positive energy and accommodating, and strong understanding of the history but also shared the small details that impact palestinian livelihood. Alaa, who was our driver throughout the trip, was also very impressive with his history and facts. He shared his experiences which really deepens your understanding of how palestinians are living under the brutal occupation. Overall, hats off to Green Olive tours. Their mandate in tours is very clear and plays a vital role on the question of Palestine. Their planning is flexible and seamless, they make everything easy for you from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. 5.00I would like to thank this company for making our experience in Israel and Palestine so incredible. We had 3 private tours in Jerusalem (Yahav guide), Bethlehem (Mustafa guide) and Jericho (Mohammad guide), and each day was enlightening and unforgettable. All guides had great knowledge on the history, culture and monuments of each place, and we enjoyed every minute. Thanks to Jehanne also for organizing the tours for us.
