  On-time pickup. Ended up being private tour since my husand and I were the only ones. Lake Gatun boat ride was so nice- crazy to see such large ships up close headed to the locks. Pulling up to the mangroves was so cool- saw howler, capucin and tamarin monkeys. Even saw a crocodile- yikes! Then headed to Panama canal to watch the Imax movie (very informative) and actually see a couple of ships pass the Mira Flores locks. Our guide was very informative. (museum was closed for renovation)

  It turned out to be a wonderful afternoon. Ricardo timed everything perfectly. We saw lots of monkeys on our boat ride, then arrived at Miraflores at exactly the right time to see the Imax movie, followed by a complete viewing of a ship passing through the lock, from start to finish. Ricardo’s knowledge and affability made it a memorable day.

  We wholeheartedly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Ruben had a wealth of knowledge of the history of the canal and its current operation. We saw three species of monkeys and a sloth on islands in Gatun Lake, and we passed a container ship carrying 15,000 containers. Many thanks to Ruben for an unforgettable day!

  We thoroughly enjoyed the Panama Canal and Gatun Lake boat tour. Seeing the wildlife up close and personal was especially exciting, particularly when the monkeys climbed onto the boat. Watching firsthand how ships enter and pass through the canal locks was fascinating and gave us a greater appreciation for the engineering of the Panama Canal. Our tour guide, Javier, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and did an excellent job taking care of our needs while providing interesting and informative commentary throughout the tour. His expertise and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. This tour was a perfect combination of nature, wildlife, and history. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Panama.

  Ricardo is absolutely the best guide! From being early to pick us up at the hotel to providing expert commentary throughout the drive to Lake Gatun and along the journey through the lake, to coaxing wildlife from the rainforest for us to be able to experience everything possible, to the tour of the locks at the canal and IMAX movie, he made this super easy and so very interesting! My husband was just doing this for me, but ended up loving it! If you are short on time, this is the best bang for your buck as it combines the monkey and sloth Lake Gatun tour with a great canal experience!

  My husband and I were in Panama for medical treatment and had very little time for excursions and sightseeing. I chose this trip because it combined the lake tour with animals and nature and the full canal experience with IMAX movie and observation of the locks. Ricardo was a fantastic guide! He was super knowledgeable and delivered a 5-star experience for us! If you can do one tour, you must pick this one!

  I wanted to take the time to write a review for the tour with our tour guide Ruben going to Lake Gatun and the Panama Canal. This was a private English tour for 5 hours in late May. Ruben was extremely knowledgeable helpful patient and personable.  He was able to make stops if needed and was accommodating. His experience and knowledge added to this tour and I would definitely recommend it to someone else!! It is a perfect choice if you are unsure of which tour to book!

• Great Wild Animal Experience on Gatun Lake

  The tour was great! Very informative IMAX movie at the Miraflores Visitors Center and I got to see a container ship pass through the Miraflores Locks. Afterwards we went for a boat ride on Gatun Lake where we had very close looks at monkeys, baby crocodiles, bats, osprey, toucan and a sloth with her baby! The boat pilot took us to all of the best spots and my personal guide, Fernando, was terrific! I highly recommend this tour and it was worth every cent.

  We had Ricardo as our Tour guide and he was absolutely amazing! Explained to us with a lot of knowledge, took us very nice pics and gave us the best impression from Panama, bud thanks to Ricardo! We will come back for sure 🇵🇦💜

  Everything went well. Ricardo, our driver and guide, was friendly and knowledgeable. Importantly, he was a safe driver. Our boat ride was gorgeous. We had a splendid time one the canal--spotted three ships going through. Wildlife wise we encountered three types of monkey and a crocodile. At the canal lock we saw a ship go through and the IMAX production. All in all a great day at the canal.
