• Great combo trip with something for everyone

  Our family of three had a great day with Ramon. We agreed that the morning wouldn’t have been nearly as fun and easy without a guide. The ride was comfortable, the canal was great, and Ramon helped us see both the movie and a ship passing through a lock, which I’m not sure we’d been able to do without staying a long time. The boat ride on Gatun Lake was the highlight for my daughter. We saw 3 species of monkeys and 2 of them jumped on our boat. We also saw an iguana, a sloth, and some bats. 10/10!

• The right choice for the canal and lake tour

  It was a great experience. Thank you to our guide, Dan who was very knowledgeable. Dan made sure we were informed, comfortable, and having a good time. We chose this specific tour as it combined the history of the canal with the small boat tour. We got to see two huge ships pass through the locks, and on the boat tour got to see three different types of monkeys and a sloth. Navigating through the entire tour was easy as Dan took care of everything. We made one payment at the time of booking with took care of admission fees, documentary viewing, boat rides, etc. We were in awe of the canal, and the beauty of Panama.

  Ruben was a wonderful tour guide. He was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend seeing the canal this way.

  Our guide Ruben was already waiting for us at the hotel and we could leave on time. Very nice and quiet guy is Ruben. Had an impressive experience at the Panama Canal and also sailing in the Gatun Lake was special.

  Tour was great! Ricardo was a fantastic tour guide - very knowledgeable and made sure my 6mo pregnant wife was comfortable throughout. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you Ricardo!

  Luis was an amazing tour guide. He kindly picked us up from our hotel, escorted us through the Canal center & pointed out the best views. He then took us on an amazing boat ride through the Gatun lake where we saw lots of monkeys. 10/10 - highly recommend if you want to experience the canal with a friendly local.

  Ricardo gave us a wonderful and memorable experience the whole tour. We enjoyed the canal and saw a lot of animals while on the boat tour. Thank you. Highly recommended.

• Good tour with some dull moments

  Overall we liked the experience but a few things could be improved. The visit to the canal was a bit chaotic and the guide could have structured it a little better, especially at the canal viewing platform. It’s cool to watch the ships pass through but hard to find a spot when it’s crowded, especially for kids. We could have used more context for how that portion of the experience would go. The boat excursion was nice because we got to be in a section of the canal (a wide lake portion) and see some of the big ships up close. Feeding monkeys was cool but also a little chaotic (several boats nearly on top of each other trying to entice the same monkey). But my kids (12 and 8) enjoyed seeing the monkeys and each got to feed them some banana. The guide wasn’t too active during this portion of the tour and it would have been nice to hear more history and context of where we were. The monkey trip almost felt like a separate, random excursion that was tacked on, even though we were in the canal. I’d recommend this tour as a way to get immersed in the canal but it’s definitely a long half-day with some less engaging moments.

  Such a fun and one of a kind experience! Jose was a fantastic guide and made the Panama Canal portion feel smooth and easy. Then off to Gatun Lake with Captain Anel for a thrilling boat ride. Jose and Anel patiently and skillfully helped us get close interactions with the monkeys which was a huge highlight! We also saw cargo ships, birds, and sloths. Just incredible wildlife and views! Everything was even better than we expected. Great communication beforehand from the owner Cesar too. Thank you for a wonderful adventure. Highly recommend!

  Amazing tour! Ruben was knowledgeable and we enjoyed every minute of our time spent with him! It was worth every penny. We watched a car carrier ship and a chemical tanker pass through the locks. The IMAX movie about the Panama Canal was a great summary of all the history. The boat ride along side the massive ships was unbelievable. We were able to see monkeys, iguanas, hawks and bats! All in all a great tour. Highly recommend.
