Panama Canal
After pick up from hotel or accommodation in Panama City, we would take you to an observation area where we will explain you about the history and how the Panama Canal works.
Gatun Lake
After seeing a ship go through the locks, we will continue by car to the Chagres River where we will then get off the car and begin a boat tour in the Gatun Lake. At this point you will be inside the Panama Canal passing beside the ships in transit from one ocean to the other. During this boat tour in Gatun Lake you will be surrounded by the rainforest of the Soberania National Park, where we will spot monkeys and other wild animals.

5.00Fun day out with Fernando! We saw 3 different types of Monkey and iguanas and birds on Lake Gatun, watched ships passing through the canal and learnt about the construction of one if the biggest engineering projects in the world!

3.00Driver arrived at 7:30, no car seats as requested for our kids ages 2, 5, and 7. The older are ok with a booster but the 2 year old still needs one. We were told “no car seats in Panama and infants on lap” this was confirmed that police here don’t care. I replied and asked if the moms care when an accident kills their infants. Blank stares. When we called the manager he said the listing says kids on lap, I clarified that I had asked specifically when booking for car seats and paid for my kids. Because of the confusion we left 15 minutes late. We were rushed into the canal visitor center and missed the big ship by about 20-30 minutes. We were told it was our fault for delayed leaving. Even if we left on time we would’ve missed it. We were then told another wouldn’t come for 6 hours. This was a huge let down as the entire point of our visit. The imax was incredible. We then watched a couple of small ships go through - even though our guide said zero ships. I’m glad we didn’t listen. We did not have time for the museum and exploring on our own. The monkey island tour was great and worth it. I would go to the canal on your own, take your time, visit at leisure. For the cost of this trip it is grossly over priced for what you get. Our tour guide did not provide a single bit of information, I would call him a driver, not a guide. Super nice guy, just not really a tour guide.

5.00My daughter and I took a private tour with Ricardo. We visited the locks, which was perfectly timed to see a ship going through the locks. Ricardo was very knowledgeable and answered many questions we had. We then took a boat out on the lake to see the monkeys, and we also saw fruit bats. Ricardo helped us learn many Spanish words and we learned Spanish for bat is much more complicated than the English word, we will keep practicing! Thank you for a wonderful day.

5.00Tour guide was amazing. Thank you Dan! We experienced everything that was on the tour. Unfortunately we did not get to see the locks open and closed but that was not the fault of the tour guide, but other guests who delayed the pick up

5.00Our family of four had an excellent time. The guide and boat driver did a wonderful job finding and pointing out the wildlife on Gatun Lake. It was great to pair this with going to the canal where we got to see the lock system and enjoy the iMax movie about the canal. It was an effient and relaxed way to see it all. Our guide was friendly, accommodating, and relaxed.

5.00An excellent tour and great guide. The whole experience was fantastic and well choreographed. Since for some reason trip advisor makes me use 100 words I will fill the space with drivel. Wait, I do have something, the monkeys were awesome.

5.00Had a great time. Dan was our driver, friendly, knowledgeable, made every part of the trip run smoothly. The boat ride to the islands in Gatun Lake did not take long even with some short rain showers. Saw different monkeys at two different places and one group by hand. Was surprised and happy that one climbed down my arm, hopped to my wife’s lap, got food from both of us before leaving in their typical hurry. Would recommend every time.
