  Our tour guide was knowledgable and kind. The tour was perfect length of time and had a great variety of food. It was an afternoon of a perfect blend of learning about the area and tasting the midst famous savory and sweet treats.

  Come hungry! Although there was a lot of walking involved, there was ample amounts of tastings including the wine tasting. My favorite were the macrons and eclairs. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable of the area and food and really made the trip exceptional.

From the very first moment, Marcel greeted us with an infectious smile, genuine warmth, and the kind of energy that instantly makes you feel like you’re exploring the city with a close friend. What made this tour exceptional was Marcel’s deep knowledge of the neighborhood, its history, and the culinary traditions woven through every street. He shared stories that brought Le Marais to life—blending culture, humor, and fascinating local insights in a way that kept us completely engaged from start to finish. Every stop on the tour was thoughtfully chosen, and each tasting felt like a little discovery. Whether it was artisanal pastries, melt‑in‑your‑mouth cheeses, or incredible hidden‑gem bites we would have never found on our own, Marcel made sure we understood not just what we were tasting, but why it mattered to the culinary tapestry of Paris. What truly set Marcel apart was his warmth and attentiveness. He made sure everyone in the group felt included, answered every question with enthusiasm, and curated the experience perfectly for our pace and interests.   What an amazing tour and experience! Our guide, Marcel, was wonderful, knowledgeable, and made the tour so much fun. Plus all the food was INCREDIBLE and filling!! Well worth the cost

  Olivia was the best guide ever - knowledgeable, energetic, and very kind. Each of the food and wine tastings was delicious, and combined with the historical facts into a rich and memorable introduction to Paris and Le Marais.

• First-rate guide, but food tour was a huge disappointment

  First, I would like to stress that our guide, Kevan, was outstanding -- knowledgable, friendly and the only reason I didn't rate this tour even more harshly. The problem is what's included in the tour, which is definitely not worth the money. The tour claims 10 tastings, and while that is technically true, only one of those tastings actually occurs while sitting down at a restaurant. At that one restaurant you get half a Croque-monsieur and two glasses of wine (the only wine you will drink on the tour so guzzle up.) Otherwise, all the other tastings occur on your feet, mostly standing out on the street. That included the falafel we ate -- just one falafel -- and the sweets we were given. The croissant we ate came out of a bag at the beginning of the tour and eaten while walking at the tour's start. If you think the hefty price you are paying will result in the equivalent of a full meal, think again. We had to eat dinner about an hour after the tour ended, and we're not huge eaters. Suffice to say, the tour was a huge disappointment and pretty close to a waste of money. Again, our guide was the only saving grace. Without Kevan's sense of humor and friendliness, this would have been a total dud. We often take these food tours in Europe and this is the first time I've left a negative review. It's not something I enjoy doing, but I feel the need to warn others.

  Great little slice of Paris. Some great food and wine as well as interesting notes on our walk along the way. Marcel was very knowledgeable and engaging. Great way to meet fellow travellers especially when a solo traveller
