We always trust Viator to arrange the best guide companies. ‘Clift’ from Karma Tours was fabulous! Very informative and friendly. Highly recommended!

Pearl Harbor was a wonderful excursion. Visiting the Arizona Memorial was memorable and spiritual in that we were visiting a grave site essentially. The museum was very informative and brought the history to life. You could also visit the submarine and experience virtual reality. The Missouri was remarkable as well. Seeing where the ship was hit and where the Japanese signed the peace agreement was chilling. Our tour guide Alaina was excellent.

A must see for history or military buffs. Plan enough time to see it all. There is quite a bit to see. If you don't have much time, you may have to skip the boat ride to the Arizona due to long wait times. They are quick, but it could be 45 minutes to an hour wait and then 30-45 minutes at the Arizona. The submarine and the other museum is a separate entrance fee once you are inside Pearl Harbor. The Missouri reminded me of the Yorktown located in Corpus Christi. The main difference was the Yorktown was decommissioned long before the Missouri. Coloring was the same. Narrow spaces to pass each other. The chow line looked similar. So much to see I didn't see it all. Another tour to make sure you have the time to explore.

TLDR: I would not reccomend this tour company at all. You are paying for a bus driver not a real tour guide and the cost of an Uber plus entry to the venues are a fraction of the price of this ticket. To start I'll discuss the positives. I would 100% reccomend going to Pearl Harbor. This "tour" includes both the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri Battleship. Both of these experiences are worth your time and should be on everyone's list when visiting Oahu. The time, effort and details that were put into making the exhibits at the USS Missouri interactive, meaningful and respectful in the face of the historical background of WWII lent itself to a truly invaluable experience and I think everyone should go. I'd also flag that while I did think we'd be able to see more of the USS Arizona above the surface I still found it really cool to see the spot where the oil is still leaking to this day (over 80 years! PRO TIP: look for the rainbow pattern that appears when the oil surfaces and the light hits). Now for the negatives. First just practically this tour is not worth the money, visiting the USS Arizona is free, so you can just register online for a time slot and go. (PRO TIP: Due to the restoration project the online portal isn't open so you would just drive there when the gates open in the morning. I'd reccomend getting their as early as possible to ensure you get a spot. You would have to do this with this tour as well, they do not and cannot guarantee you get a position on the ferry.) The cost to visit the USS Missouri is about $30 for the ticket and a free shuttle runs between Arizona and Missouri all day long while they are both open (it also stops at the Aviation point too). With that said, we had thought that the value of buying this "tour" was that a guide would accompany us and tell us facts about both MonumentsMemorials, but this never happened. Our guide Robert gave us a few logistical points in how the day would run and what he reccomended we do, but provide no other commentary about these historical landmarks nor did he join us at either spot. He instead basically acted as a generic bus driver just incharge of getting us from point A to B and then back. This essentially means that this "tour" was the most expensive bus ticket I have ever purchased. At $155 per person we would have expected a lot more. Maybe other guides are better but for us, we were a group of 5 people so the cost to Uber back and forth between Waikiki and the USS Arizona could have been covered by less than the cost of 1 of our tickets and then we each could have just paid $30 to get into the USS Missouri. To top it off, the driver changed our departure time from the monument on more than one occassion after we split up from him. This resulted in my group of 5 being in the ship when he sent the "final" chosen time of departure (1:45pm) and with the lack of service in the lowerlevel of the ship we ultimately didn't make it back to the shuttle in time so after waiting less than 10mins (as we arrived at the parking lot at 1:53 only to see him already down the block) he left us all behind and we had to Uber back to our hotel anyway. Obviously, do whatever you think is right for your group but I truly think even without being left behind that the math just doesn't make sense for this "tour" and my continued use of quotes for that word is due to the fact that I really do think that word doesn't even fit here since the guide did not provide any true guidance or insight into these historical landmarks. Overall, I would say for sure go, but do it alone or find another company to take you!
