Armenian Street

Khoo Kongsi
The Khoo Kongsi is a large Chinese clanhouse with elaborate and highly ornamented architecture, a mark of the dominant presence of the Chinese in Penang, Malaysia. The famous Khoo Kongsi is the grandest clan temple in the country. It is also one of the city's major historic attractions

5.00Our driver Danny made our trip to Penang one to remember by showing us the best places to visit and his knowledge of the island and Malaysian in general.His recommendations on the best placed to eat around our hotel and what we could do and see by using the local transport saved us time and were able to see more of Penang. I fully recommend doing the half and full day tours of Penang to get a sense of the history and culture of the island.

5.00A rewarding day. We took a lot of eyes. It is impossible to see so many wonders on foot in such a short time. Pleasant, friendly, loving and knowledgeable driver.

5.00Lovely driver and very knowledgeable Was on time and greeted us in a friendly way and explained what sights we were visiting and that we would set the pace He was very knowledgeable and passed on lots of little snippets of information as we drove along pointing out places of interest and was very knowledgeable about the history Asked to go back to the hotel a bit early as my knee was starting to play up and I tend to suffer from car sickness This was not a reflection on the driver who was excellent but just for my own comfort Would definitely recommend this tour as you see several major sights and the driver was extremely knowledgeable

5.00Alan, was a very attentive guide and driver, kind and helpful. With plenty of knowledge of the city and the places visited, he has a lot to share. He was careful with the schedule, since I had a night flight. It left me calm and comfortable throughout the day - I was alone. But rather than recommend, I say that if you only have one day in town, this tour with Alan is the best option!

5.00We had an excellent day visiting several significant Temples, Chinese and India neighborhoods, and the Chew Jetty with our driver and guide, KT. He was very reliable and timely meeting us at the entrance to the port that we arrived at via cruise ship. KT used a very clean, comfortable van with air conditioning and water. He was friendly while providing a lot of history, cultural references, and driving expertise. KT was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English, getting us easy access to the many sites we visited. We highly recommend this itinerary, tour company and KT in particular.

5.00Amazing day out - leant a lot about the history of Penang and some background to the development of the heritage buildings. Would highly recommend Robin - a safe pair of hands and a good driver / communicator. As we had explored a lot of Georgetown on our own prior to this tour, we were able to modify the itinerary so as not to repeat stuff we had seen before (eg street art).

5.00Jessie was brilliant! She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much fascinating information about the religions and culture of Malaysia. Our group ranged in age between 4 and 84 years and she made sure to engage and include everyone. One of our party had also sustained a back injury whilst on holiday so the tour was adapted to allow this person to see the main sites and not miss out as much as possible. We were not rushed and given ample time to explore each site - and she answered our many questions! We ran late (because of us exploring each site) so we included a stop for a quick lunch and Jessie helped to choose suitable dishes to share. She identified what was important for us to see of the remainder of the tour. All in all an amazing experience and cannot speak highly enough of Jessie, or our driver Jimmy!

5.00This tour is very complete, in half a day you visit a lot of great places in Penang. Our guide helped us learn a lot about the city. He drove us from point to point while telling about the history and answering our questions.
