Our driver Terry went above and beyond. He had the ac on at a good temp, music on but low enough to where it wasn’t overwhelming. He also had a white board which he would write the time to be back on the bus by. This helped I think because no one was late the entire time. We had a long 13 hour day but all the stops were good. We felt we could’ve used less time at the sanctuary as the shows there were short and the sanctuary itself is small (unless you do an encounter). We loved seeing all the wildlife along the way on Philip island. His restaurant recommendation was good, too. The fairy penguins were a hit! Thank you

Ashleigh & Penny made the day great! Love seeing all the wildlife, not only the penguins but at the conservation center.

The whole day is lovely. You get multiple stops at the different locations, get to walk along the beach, see lots of cool animals, pet a Koloa and the penguins March at the end is the best way to end the day. James the guide was amazing, kept you time and delivered lots of interesting facts though out the day.

It is a long tour but we enjoyed very much. The visit to the Moonlit Sanctuary could be skipped but we must recognize that although we like animals we don't love them; but this is our thing...

The penguins were truly the highlight of the experience. Watching them up close in their natural habitat was delightful and memorable. It was a unique and enjoyable experience. Areas for Improvement: Unfortunately, several aspects of the tour left much to be desired. Here are the key issues and suggestions for improvement: 1. Tour Bus Timing: • The bus arrival time was poorly communicated. We received two different timings: 11:00 AM and 11:10 AM. We were instructed to be at the meeting point 10 minutes early, arriving at 10:50 AM, but the bus didn’t arrive until 11:20 AM. • Clearer and more accurate instructions are necessary to avoid confusion and frustration. 2. Time Wasted Picking Up Participants: • The first hour was spent picking up other participants from various hotels, which felt inefficient and wasted valuable time. A streamlined pick-up process or central meeting points could improve this. 3. Redundant Stops: • Some stops added little value to the tour. For example, we stopped at a supposed “surfer’s paradise,” but there were no surfers in sight. • We also stopped in a small town (likely Cove) for dinner, but most restaurants were closed. Given less than an hour to find food and use the toilet was stressful and inconvenient. 4. Lack of Toilet Breaks: • Long travel times without accessible toilet facilities were extremely uncomfortable. At Cove, the bus parked in a lot with no nearby toilets, and the guide didn’t provide directions or assistance. • Regularly scheduled toilet breaks and ensuring toilet facilities are available at each stop is essential for participant comfort and safety. 5. Rushed Schedule: • The visit to Moonlit Sanctuary felt rushed. We arrived around 2:40 PM, with the koala encounter starting at 3:00 PM. After queuing for the encounter, we had to rush through a late lunch, leaving no time to explore the sanctuary. • The itinerary needs to allow participants enough time to enjoy each stop without feeling hurried. 6. Better Dinner Planning: • Instead of stopping in a ghost town with closed restaurants and no toilets, it would have been more efficient to arrive at the Penguin Parade site earlier. The site had a café and plenty of toilets, making it a far better option for dinner. Overall Feedback The tour could benefit significantly from better planning and time management. It is important for tour bus to arrive on time. The rushed schedule, lack of toilet breaks, and redundant stops made the experience stressful and uncomfortable. Consider prioritising fewer, high-value stops and ensuring participant needs, like meals and restroom breaks, are adequately addressed.
