If this is your first visit to Perth recommend you do the bus tour first to get a feel at what awaits you. We also did a sea plane flight to complete the picture.

The bus does not run on time, I know it would be difficult to keep up with traffic but we waited for over 30mins and 45mins at two stops. This meant we missed the final stop at Crown where our car is parked. We had to spend more money catching public transport back to our car.

Hearing aids were inappropriate and commentary was out of alignment with the position of the bus. A poor performance. It would be a lot better if the drivers were responsible for the commentary .

We used the hop on hop off bus when in Perth recently. It is a good way to get around although the times were not very punctual at the stops. However it does get out to places that the free buses in the CBD do not extend to. Fairly comparable to similar services we have used in other cities around the world. The commentary in many languages is a useful addition for foreign travellers.
