Phillip Island Nature Parks - Koala Conservation Reserve
It is only a 1hr 45min drive from Melbourne directly to Phillip Island. On arrival you will be greeted by Phillip Island Nature Parks Ranger for a guided walk through Phillip Island’s Koala Reserve. You will be given a presentation about Koalas, history and relevance of the Reserve and the last area of natural woodland on the island. Guide to accompany the group and assist Ranger with the group.

From the Koala Wildlife Park, it is a short drive to Phillip Island, a 10,000-hectare home to more than a hundred varieties of animal species. Phillip Island boasts a population of approximately 15,000 which is boosted during the busy tourist seasons. There are three main settlements being Cape Woolamai, New Haven & Cowes.

4.00Fabulous experience although we went on a day when it was full capacity and I had no idea there would be that many people there. It’s a shame so many people were ignoring the no photo rule too, despite being asked not to. I really hope the penguins are ok with the phototogrqphy.

5.00We had a great day trip with Fiona as our guide. She was a great tour guide… Very friendly and personable, knowledgeable, wicked sense of humor, excellent driver! She encouraged us to shop local and gave lots of tips and guidance on getting around the small town on Phillips Island.

5.00Very nice tour that we can only recommend. Hints: It is worthwhile to install the audio app - with, among other things, German-speaking contributions of the route - in advance and to download the corresponding excursion. It is not a translation app that translates the driver's English remarks. These are difficult to understand in the back of the bus, as the driver rarely used the loudspeaker system.

5.00Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour was outstanding. It was so nice to see koalas and wallabies in their natural habitat. The penguins were adorable. We paid extra for prime seating and it was worth it. One of the highlights of our trip in Australia.

5.00We had a great day with our lovely guide Lauren. She was so friendly and helpful (funny too), and was really knowledgable about the animals and the area we were visiting. The tour group size was good too, as it wasn’t too big. We loved seeing the Koalas at the sanctuary, the coastal views at the Nobbies were breathtaking and seeing the penguins there was a real bonus. The main event the Penguin Parade was just magical… an experience I will remember for a long time! A great day that I would 100% recommend to others.

4.00This was a magical experience. Never seen anything like it and I have traveled extensively. Would highly recommend this. Be respectful and don’t take pictures as they request. If you get a chance don’t miss it. Vicki our driver was great. Audio was hard to hear at times but didn’t care.
