The Independence Palace
Independence Palace was the base of Vietnamese General Ngo Dinh Diem until his death in 1963. It made its name in global history in 1975. A tank belonging to the North Vietnamese Army crashed through its main gate, ending the Vietnam War. Today, it's a must-visit for tourists in Ho Chi Minh City. The palace is like a time capsule frozen in 1975. You can see two of the original tanks used in the capture of the palace parked in the grounds. Independence Palace was the home and workplace of the French Governor of Cochin-China. It has lush gardens, secret rooms, antique furniture, and a command bunker. It's still in use to host important occasions in Ho Chi Minh, including APEC summits.

5.00Our guide Layla was THE BEST! She communicated with us prior to the excursion. There was no problem picking us up at a different location than scheduled since our cruise ship was reassigned to Phuoc An Port rather than Phu My. She customized our tour to suit our needs. We visited the War Remnants Museum, the Bap Tang artisan shop, the Reunification Palance and then stopped for lunch at Pho Vietnam. Lunch was so-so. We then saw the Central Post Office and Thien Hau Pagoda. We enjoyed our day but definitely enjoyed our delightful guide, Layla!

5.00Our group of 4 had a fabulous day touring local & tourist sites in Ho Chi Minh City along with our tour guide Vinh and driver. Vinh looked after us making sure we tasted the local fare and experienced a walk through the market in Chinatown. He was professional and very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Vietnam. A trip to the War Museum is not to be missed. Lunch was delicious at a local Pho restaurant. Our driver was experienced and cautious with all the traffic in the city. The vehicle was large, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend Vinh and Hiep Hoi An Travel when traveling in Vietnam. A BIG Thank you.

5.00Our tour guide, Rachel, was the best. Her knowledge was exactly what made the learning experience so great. She spoke great English and we had no problem understanding her. The attractions we visited were exactly what we wanted to see on this trip!
Real Life Experience of "Saigon"

5.00As a baby boomer, I feel I watched the Vietnam War on television. There were countless images of the American Embassy and the Royal Palace and Saigon back in the 60s. To see it in real life and to note the vast changes since the war was a revelation and gave dimension to my understanding. Our guide was knowledgable and fluent and was flexible with our itinerary. He also treated us to a wonderful lunch of Pho and was a kind and considerate person (as was the driver).

5.00Rachel was the best your guide. While driving on the tour, Rachel shared pictures on her IPad and explained the history of the area. She guided us through each area. She even took photos for us. She even went shopping with us. At lunch she sat with us. She spoke good English and even assisted us with some Vietnamese words. Anyone who has the privilege of being her tour guide will love her.

5.00Really enjoyed this tour. Private, air conditioned car. Rachel provided a personalized experience and her English was excellent. We went to the post office, war museum, market and had a delicious pho meal. Highly recommend this tour!

5.00The pickup was smooth. The stops were well planned out and with our guide we didn’t have to stand in long lines to get in places. Our guide also picked out a Michelin pho place for lunch. We asked him to sit with us and he walked us through everything at lunch. Our guide, Anthony Nguyen, was incredible and would definitely want him with us whenever we visit again. The booking was smooth and communication was excellent. I do recommend having WhatsApp if you don’t have it.

5.00We did 3 tours with the agency Hiep. We all had good guides, safe drivers, clean and modern vehicles. The guides were characterized by good and clearly understandable English and good and precise description. At any time you could communicate well. The information in advance was excellent and the agency was always available and responded promptly 👍 We receive the agency, the price performance ratio is reasonable.

5.00We really liked our tour to Ho Chi Minh City. Our guide, Richard, is very knowledgeable and provided deep inside into the history of the city and Vietnam. After seeing a lot of historical landmarks and interacting with people, we decided to plan a trip to Vietnam in the foreseeable future!
