Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation will close Maya Bay every year for 2 months in August and September.
Notable rules at Maya Bay include no swimming, no single-use plastics, using reef-safe sunscreen and no use of drones without permission.
While Monkey Beach isn't a direct stop, you can still observe the monkeys when the tide is low.
Don't feed the monkeys as it makes them aggressive and stops them from foraging for food as they would normally do.
During certain seasons, jellyfish may be present in the Andaman Sea, and contact can cause skin irritation or discomfort. To minimize the risk, we recommend wearing protective clothing such as watershoes and long swimwear when swimming.
Ensuring your safety is our top priority. To that end, we strongly recommend wearing a life jacket throughout the entire boat ride to the islands and while snorkeling.
Speed boats navigate close to the shoreline, allowing passengers a convenient and effortless transition to the beach.
While flip-flops are convenient, water shoes offer better protection against sharp objects like shells or rocks on the sand, and provide improved traction on wet surfaces.
Shorts are ideal as they dry quickly and allow for greater freedom of movement, especially if the water level reaches above your knees when getting on or off the boat.
This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, infants under 2 years, people over 69 years or people with back or neck problems.
If you want to switch your hotel in Khao Lak we charge an extra fee of 300 THB per person.

5.00Very good organization by Andaman! You will be picked up by a taxi from them to their reception room with a light breakfast. There everything is very structured by means of a briefing presented by Timi (top guest), who was also our supervisor during the excursion. Then left on a boat trip to the beautiful phi phi islands. No hurry, no rush, they give you plenty of time on each island to walk around. In the afternoon very nice lunch on Phi Phi Don Island and then continue this cruise to the Viking Cave to finish at Monkey Beach. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

5.00We were a bit apprehensive about booking this trip as we have two young children who have never snorkelled before. However it really was an incredible experience and our 7 year old described it as “the best day of his life”. So many beautiful locations (they are as stunning as the pictures you see online suggest) and the staff were exceptionally good with our boys…they felt really safe and during the second snorkelling stop were off the back of the boat without us and off hunting for sharks with the staff! We cannot thank the staff enough for how they interacted with them and kept them beside them in the water which allowed us to relax and enjoy our own snorkelling time too. I think this was one of those experiences which will shape their confidence to explore other water-based experiences in the future. Also to mention - we were offered the option to pay extra to go on a longtail boat to explore Pileh Lagoon - this is not to be missed and the staff with us got amazing photos and videos of us there and let us jump from the boat and swim in the lagoon which was breathtaking. We appreciated all of the care and safety of the staff - thank you so much!!!

4.00We had an amazing snorkelling experience, especially for my eldest, as it was her first time. The staff were incredibly helpful and patient, assisting us in overcoming our water confidence and ensuring we enjoyed the entire experience. The ride to the snorkeling spot was comfortable, and the food provided was delicious. I was also pleased to find a proper ‘prayer room’ at Phi Phin Villa during our lunch stop, which made the experience even more memorable. I would definitely love to stay at this accommodation on a future visit!

5.00My wife and I did the shared tour to Phi Phi and Bamboo Islands from Phuket and it was a fantastic day! Our day was filled with beautiful scenery and great service from the staff. The staff were not only kind and funny, but they made us feel incredibly safe and well looked after. The snorkeling spots were amazing, the best we experienced in Thailand! The vibrant marine life and crystal-clear waters made for a great underwater experience, we were lucky enough to see a few reef sharks at one spot! We loved the extra touches like the free refreshments before the tour started at their base, and the complimentary drinks and lunch which were both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. If you’re looking for a tour that’s safe, fun, and filled with amazing scenery, we can’t recommend WOW Andaman enough!

5.00What an amazing day! Everything from the crystal-clear bright blue waters, vibrant marine life (we saw so many fish, and baby reef sharks), white sandy beaches and epic staff, we LOVED this tour with WOW Andaman. The team made us feel very comfortable and well cared for, they offered free drinks and snacks before the tour to kick things off and then complimentary drinks throughout the day too. The boat was smooth and sturdy, and we felt completely safe throughout the journey as I had read previously that the journey to Phi Phi can be uncomfortable...but we had a great trip over with this company. We also really enjoyed the lunch spot, we ate delicious food while having time to soak in the Phi Phi Islands surrounding us. To top it all off, the sunset ride back home was magical! We were lucky to get some nice colours as we cruised back and this was the perfect end to a great day. I would highly recommend booking with WOW Andaman for the best Phi Phi experience. Thank you team!!

5.00Very well organised trip. Staff Chang is friendly and the skill of the skipper is excellent. Buffet lunch at Phi Phi Dong is another wow in compared with other groups who only had lunch under the trees at Bamboo Island.
A day at Phi Phi Islands is a taste of paradise.

5.00By fast boat from Wow Andaman in one hour from Phuket harbor to Phi Phi Islands. After a very hospitable reception, boarding and steaming to these islands with 3x750 HP engines was a truly wonderful experience. We left around 10 o'clock in the morning, after receiving snorkeling equipment and returning at 7 o'clock in the early evening, we visited all kinds of beautiful places from the brochure. Top care on board and a great lunch on Phi Phi Dong. Beautiful lagoons and beaches, snorkeling and a visit to Maya Beach (from the film The Beach with Leonardo di Caprio) made this day one to remember. This is highly recommended 👍👍👍😎
