This is not your average Picasso walking tour. You won’t just discover the secrets that inspired his work from the early days of his career but also the scandals that still haunt his memory today.
As this is a private tour, we can accommodate any extra requests that you might have.
Accompanied by an Art Historian, travel back in time as we follow in the footsteps of a young Picasso around the vibrant streets and alleys of Barcelona’s old town, using Picasso as a lens through which to uncover the history of Barcelona.
Exploring Barcelona’s history, in el Born and the Gotic, you pass by the places that made up his childhood, inspired his paintings and delve into his wild teens in the city when he quit art school and left for Paris.

He brought Picasso’s story to life with fascinating insights into the artist’s deep connection to Barcelona and his lasting cultural impact. What made this tour even more special was Juan’s introduction to the charming neighborhood of El Born — a beautiful area we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. 5.00I thoroughly enjoyed the Picasso walking tour. I'm so glad we chose this tour over the Picasso museum tour. Juan did an excellent job of storytelling, blending Picasso's life with Catalan history. I highly recommend this experience.

5.00This tour was truly amazing and sets itself apart from the rest! A lot of tours offer the usual stuff - guided tour of the picasso museum, city tours and the like - but with Luke, you not only get to learn about the history of Catalonia interspersed with fun facts, you also get to hear the stories behind the scenes, interesting facts and trivias about picasso, the history of the street art in Barcelona or whichever structure we happen to be looking at and so much more. I love the fact that Luke would share stuff that are not normally highlighted in most books or mentioned on the usual guided tours one gets. As a plus, i had a very interesting discussion with Luke about street art and listen to the stories he shared about the struggles of some of the artists whose works we saw. It gives one different perspectives to ponder upon. Overall it was quite an experience. I was so happy i accidentally saw his page in IG.
