The tutored tasting of our core range of gins will be punctuated by a refreshing historical cocktail. Your tour will wrap up with a perfectly poured Gin&T at the Royal Dick Pub.

Summerhall Distillery /pickering's Gin

Embark on a Gin Distillery tour at Summerhall in the old Vet College of the University where you will discover how we craft our small-batch gins, followed by a tutored tasting of our 4 core range surrounded by our stills, Emily and Gertrude. You will conclude the experience with the waxing of your own miniature 5cl bottle of gin to take home.

Really fun tour! Great history of distilling in Scotland and tasting 4 beautiful gins and a cocktail (gimlet) Eduard the host was phenomenal! Very funny and knowledgeable. Could not recommend enough!!

Was a gift. My friend had a wonderful time and our guide was funny, knowledgeable, fun and professional and it was an ideal mix of good information and fun. It’s a beautiful space and distillery and the gin was really nice.

Having been on the more familiar Gin Tours we came across the lesser known Pickerings Gin Tour which sounded really good and having visited today can confirm it was absolutely brilliant,our guide Eloi was so informative and knowledgeable about all aspects of the journey to produce the gin.If gin is your tipple I can highly recommend the tour you won’t be disappointed,there are four samples to taste and a G&T in the bar next door along with a sample to take home ,it was excellent value for money.

Really enjoyable and interesting tour made all the better with our guide Marina. She was a credit to the tour. Her excellent knowledge was delivered in a very happy, enjoyable and upbeat manner bringing smiles to everyones faces. We learned a lot about the history and manufacture of gin especially Pickering's. Would totally recommend a visit to this distillery.

Marina was very engaging, friendly and knowledgable. The tour was interesting and the gin was yum! Lots of interesting history and opportunity to see the gin actually being made.

We can’t remember the woman’s name, apologies, however the American woman was such a lovely and informative person and would highly recommend this to anyone, she made us feel very welcome and was lovely to talk to. This is definitely a great activity for couples and would highly recommend. I would definitely come back.
