  Am amazing day visiting sites 1, 2 & 3 for the Plain of Jars. Su was very informative about the sites as well as different stories of the origins of the Jars. He was was helpful & looked after us.

  Our local guide Mr Tey was very informative and provided us with a great insight in to the area. He has a detailed knowledge of current history and happily shared that with us during our tour. We visited several jar sites as well as the Ho Chi Minh trail. Some areas were too wet or damaged due to the recent typhoon so Mr Tey adjusted his tour around that so we got the maximum out of our visit. I recommend visiting the Museum at the start of your tour , this will give you a great insight as to what to expect. The damage still in this area from the war is confronting.   Eric was our tour guide for the Spoon Village and the 3 Plain of Jars sites. He was fantastic! He was very easy to chat with and we learned so much about not only the sites on the tour but also about Laos in general. His English was great and he was as kind and helpful as you could wish for. I highly recommend hiring Eric if you are planning a visit to this amazing location! Brenda Grant Canada

  I have been travel on bus more than 8 hours from luang prabang to phonsavan, i have book plain of jars with Eric was amazing english speaking guide me on the bus and he also help me to choose the hotel. Eric is very friendly, he know how to speak English and explain everything very clear. The next day I went to see your Plain Of Jars Tour and it was amazing. He took us in a very good restaurant with very good food! I really enjoyed this tour. It was a great experience and I recommend everyone who come here in Laos should do it because it's worth it!

  Guide spoke and understood very little English. Offered no value. Could not answer simple questions. Picked me up 1/2 hr late. Tour supposed to be 8 hours , was only 51/2 hours. Never took me to Spoon Village. Lunch at an authentic place, with no menu or way to find out offerings, so I tried to eat what the guide ate and it was terrible. I felt ripped off. Ask your hotel to book something local for you.

  I went to Site 1 by negotiating a tuk tuk from town , 80,000 kip returned and stayed there 3 hours to admire the different jars and its vicinity views. Don't forget to visit the cave and its top for nice views. The time I went was the burning season, do not wear white trousers to get the burnt ashes on your clothes if you happened to walk along the hill tracks. Try to go in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat. The place is tranquil and worth visiting
