The calm waters of this beach attract whales, which choose to rest near the coast. This phenomenon allows our visitors to witness the impressive spectacle of the whales at a surprisingly close distance from the shore, providing a truly exceptional land-based viewing experience. Participants have the opportunity to admire the majesty of these magnificent marine mammals in their natural habitat without the need to venture into the sea.

Puerto Madryn, a historic land of Welsh settlers, bathed and sheltered by the Nuevo Gulf, gifts us with orange sunrises and sunsets and delights us with the presence of the most famous visitor on its shores, the Southern Right Whale. "Feel Patagonia" will take you on a tour to discover all these wonders... be amazed by them. Just 20 kilometers from the city center, we arrive at the beaches chosen by these giants to give birth to their calves. (Coastal Observation of Southern Right Whales) Places to Visit: downtown Puerto Madryn, Industrial Park, El Doradillo Protected Area. Season: June to October.

Very nice experience. The relentless Pier Guide, super friendly and knowledgeable. We saw many whales from lanplaya:)

To enjoy the proximity of the whales you have to go with the high tide and it was very early (7am) so we decided to go by taxi to manage our times and it really was the best. We were watching them play and jump very close to us, sitting on the shore watching the sea with great peace and without any desire to leave. Take the mate and forget everything, they give the best show
