We wound up being the only two people on the tour when other guests cancelled at the last minute. Leopold is a fantastic guide! He's a 4th generation local with special insights into the park, which he visited often as a boy when his grandfather worked there. He was very knowledgeable about the park's history as well as its geology. He's also very personable and was good company. We couldn't have asked for a better leader for our tour of this beautiful place.

We hired a private guide to be able to really enjoy the park at our own pace and ask questions about things that were of particular interest to us. It was a great way to experience the park and not worry about logistics.

Croatia’s Plitvika Jezera lived up to its reputation as one of the most beautiful and entrancing natural wonders in the world, with hundreds of waterfalls from small to large feeding crystal clear lakes of emerald hue. The visit was made all the more remarkable and special by Leopold: an enthusiastic 4th generation local expert and guide. A thorough master of the trails and hidden gems of Plitvicka Jezera with a sardonic, funny sense of humor, Leopold made the trek so captivating and enjoyable that even my wife and I at 72 and 73 years surprised ourselves by matching the younger members of our group in lasting through the 6 hour, 7.5 km hike down into and back out of the magnificent canyon – enjoying it all. Leopold also has an excellent photographer’s eye for composition, and used people’s smartphones to capture us posed in front of many breathtaking scenes that will grace the album of this amazing trip. Leopold and Plitvicka Jezera get a super high five!

I don’t understand why purchasing and retrieving the park ticket has to be SO confusing! You have to chose between Entrance 1 or 2 without any explanation on the difference and then you have to still pick up the ticket it will not be sent to you electronically. And they could link it to your offerings so not so disconnected. It all worked out eventually but did cause unnecessary stress
