These are Plovdiv - the European Capital of Culture 2019 and Koprivshtitsa - a picturesque town with an epic history and a striking architecture. Explore all major attractions in the old town of Plovdiv with a professiona English-speaking guide and admire the marvelous heritage left by Thracians, Romans, Byzantines, Jews, Greeks, Armenians and Bulgarians. The route between Plovdiv and Koprivshtitsa crosses rose valleys, charming villages and the gentle hills of Sredna Gora Mountain. Koprivshtitsa is unforgettable with its spectacular Bulgarian Renaissance mansions and filled with battles chronicles. Despite the long and intensive itinerary, there is free time planned for shopping, self-guided wandering and eating.

In the summer months, the weather is very hot in Plovdiv. We recommend bringing sun screen, sun glasses and a hat with you on the tour.

5.00The trip gave me a broad view of Bulgaria outside Sofia. Of course only a first impression, but this was also my first introduction to the country. The tour guide shared his knowledge extensively, in-depth questions were clearly welcome. Yeah, you're on the bus for two hours a few times, but then that's definitely worth it.
Loose, informative and well accompanied – a real highlight!

5.00Excellent travel companion – highly recommended! Our bus trip was a complete success, to which our tour guide Maria especially contributed. She spoke a very clear and easy-to-understand English so that everyone in our small group could follow without any problems. We particularly liked her pleasant, easy-going manner: The entire tour never seemed stiff or rehearsed, but lively, varied and designed with a lot of flair for the group. Maria has combined interesting information with small anecdotes and always provided a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The ride itself was excellently organized, and thanks to their competent and sympathetic accompaniment, we felt in good hands at all times. We can recommend this tour – and especially Maria as a travel companion – without restriction. It was a great experience!

5.00Very happy with our visit to Plovdiv with Tranventuria.Very professional guide and who knows how to interest travelers even if the tour was in English.A stop a little before arriving in the second city of Bulgaria and the walking tour.The house of Lamartine and the observatory for a very nice view of the city where one overlooks the Maritza.Finally,visit the cobblestone city center and very modern,with in addition the possibility to attend a concert in the main square of the city.The journey time is about 2 hours on very beautiful roads.

5.00Guide was excellent, he has patience of a saint dealing with people continually wandering off or asking ridiculous questions like ' did people back then have tables'. Tour is fascinating, plenty free time and very comfortable transport.

3.00The places we visited were beautiful and well worth seeing. However, we booked an English-speaking tour and were surprised to find that most of the group spoke Spanish. The guide was fluent in Spanish and did her best to translate, but many parts of the tour were more detailed in Spanish than in English. As English speakers, we felt at a disadvantage and missed out on some of the commentary. It would be helpful if the tour company clarified language expectations more clearly during booking.

4.00The overall tour was really good with lots of exploring which was done in plodiv and koprishtitsa along with understanding the history of both places ! Both the places were very colorful and wonderfully nice as well as the tour guide being very knowledgeable was very helpful ! The tour operates only two days a week which is a bit unfortunate so plan accordingly if you want to do this tour with both places with a day trip ! The really frustrating and sad part was at the start of that the tour it was raining heavily and unfortunately we were unable to find a taxi to the pickup spot and we informed the guide. We tried to offer solutions to meet somewhere or if they can pickup us up closer which was a 5 month detour at max which wouldn’t have affected the overall group . The guides response was pls be on time and we cannot stay longe than 8 am for pick up which was a bit extremely unthoughtgul on the agency’s behalf as we were delayed by forces beyond our control! Consideration towards customer in such extenuating circumstances should be much more thoughtful rather than just be brushed off with a generic thoughtless approach which I felt was very unfortunate to deal with ! Thank god we made it on time as we got a taxi last minute but if we didn’t it would have really been extremely disappointing so if they change their approach in this aspect it would benefit their levels of customer service greatly for future travelers to not face what we had to face last minute.

5.00We had Marinna as our tour guide. She was super nice, knowledgeable. very approachable, and easy to understand. She managed the group of 40 people superbly. It was a packed day, but she always had a smile. Very much appreciated.
