With more DE 100 years DE vin DA, Poças is currently in the hands of the 4th generation, being one of the rare companies DE vin do Porto that was born Portuguese and remains in the hands OF the same family since its foundation. Our old Port Tawny wines have built up the reputation DA Poças, but for 30 years DOC Douro wines have also been proof OF their quality.

In 2019 Poças received the award DE “Producer OF Fortified Wines of the Year 2018”, awarded by Revista DE Vinhos.

The VISIT CENTER DA Poças has been open to the public since 2016, and was fully renovated in 2018 - an innovative project with the signature of architects Lúcia Vaz Pato and António Mota. Receiving approximately 28 000 visitors POR year, in 2018 the Visiting Centre was awarded the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

This experience includes a guided visit throughout our cellar with a tasting at the end of the tour. This tasting was created for Tawny Lovers since our purpose is show the evolution of our Tawnies and the mastery of the winemakers doing the different blends. We have also available different harmonizations that you can select to make the perfect pairing with your wine.

It is very well presented by the guide and the tasting was delicious. I had two ports and a Pastel de Nata Yum. I was pleased that there was no hard sell of there port, but it was delicious.

amazing experience! the staff is very nice and friendly, the tour itself is also great, suitable for anyone, with or without knowledge about port wine. the tasting was really good and would also recommend getting the cheese selection:)

Our family group of 6 had a great time. Very friendly and informative. The tastings were devine Enjoyed by all. Highly recommended a must in Porto!

The wine tasting was in Italian, in a grooup of 4 people. Our host was very nice and informed about Porto, the Pocas family and we really appreciated all the information she shared. Her knowledge is very comprehensive. The Porto tasting with Pasteles de nata and chocolate was great. Really woth the walk to get here!

Excellent service and explanation, delicious wines an options to taste more types of it as different options to eat. The personnel was super friendly and the whole tour and experience was of the best level.

Amazing and authentic experience! Our guide Felipe was super prepared and friendly, the visit was really interesting and well structured, and the tasting was amazing. If you’re looking for something not touristy this is the cave you should visit!

It was a wonderful experience! Better than expected. The explanation by the tour guide was great, she was so nice and smiley communicating clear concepts about the different processes to make the wine. The tasting was algo great, with 4 different options which were so tasty.

Filipa was my tour guide it was fantastic, very kind, she knew everything. It was a pleasure to meet that kinda of vibe and knowledge. Aswered all our questions and even in the tasting part when she was presenting the wines you could tell she knew what she was talking about ! Really enjoyed it 😊! did in portuguese with another couple almost like a private tour. Thanks !
