Kamoauli is a locally owned, all-wood, double-hulled, traditional Polynesian canoe (wa’a kaulua) offering a one-of-a-kind native Hawaiian cultural and educational experience. Come sail along the beautiful Waikiki coastline and become immersed in the stories and history of place (Mo‘olelo) reflected through the land (ʻāina) and ocean (moana) aboard a classroom on the sea. Our cultural practitioner and crew involve guests in hands on activities, using native materials to make food, clothing, tools, and other traditional items. Ask questions, explore the deck, nets and hulls, take part in poi (taro) pounding or just relax and enjoy.
*Morning sails are the best time to potentially encounter ocean wildlife in Waikiki waters.*
*Note: Due to COVID restrictions, all sails can only be booked as a private single group charter, with a minimum of one and a maximum of six passengers per charter. All ages welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult.

5.00This whole trip was amazing. We were worried that we wouldn't get to go, but the website said to call if the time we wanted was unavailable. We called and got in! We were blessed with 2 educators. The whole trip felt sacred and we left with a very tangible sense of Aloha. We plan on coming back every time we visit this wondrous island.

5.00That was probably the most amazing experience we had during our time in Hawaii, having the chance to get to know more about the culture while sailing was very unique and we had the opportunity to prepare our food, learn some hula and play some of the instruments. We were also very lucky as we spotted dolphins!!

5.00This was much different than other sailing excursions I have been on in Hawaii. Rather than chasing fish and jumping in the water, this one focused on learning about various aspects of native culture. There was music, dance, story, history, food and more. It was a great experience. We did see a whale and followed it for awhile, so that was also really cool.

5.00If you are lucky enough to book this cruise, you will not be disappointed! A core memory was achieved for our family. The captain & crew are exceptional. This history of the boat brings you as close to stories of this island as a Haole can get. We love this experience. We promise you will too!!
