Pompeii, with its 66 hectares of which about 50 excavated, is a unique set of civil and private buildings, monuments, sculptures, paintings and mosaics of such importance for the history of archaeology and antiquity to be recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. To access the Archaeological Park and, consequently, the tour there is a ticket not included in the tour of 20€

5.00Pompeii is so large, you definitely need more than two hours (most tours) to explore the variety of homes, businesses and community spaces. Fabrizio is a 12 out of 10 guide. Knowledgeable, experienced and engaging. This extended tour is a must if you love history and learning. What was unearthed here influenced all the European cities of the day, as you’ll hear Pompeii referenced in Paris and Florence for example. Additionally, Pompeii is one of those places where a tour guide is definitely advantageous over self-guided.

5.00We had Fabio for our guide and felt lucky we got him for a 2 hour private tour. He answered our questions and showed us aspects of life in Pompeii like sliding door food stalls, baths, bakery, and much more. If you want he will leave you at Villa dei Misteri if you purchase the suburban villa option. For that we wished we had had an audio guide. But looking at it was such a beautiful experience!
Luciano was absolutely fantastic, professional and knowledgeable in all aspects of the tour of Pompeii.

5.00Eugenia was fun to listen to. His British Italian pronunciations were adorable. Knowledgeable. Polite to other groups. We should have booked an earlier tour so we could have walked around longer and visited the gift shop.

5.00Alessandro took our group of 4 on a 2-hour tour of the main sights of Pompeii. He met us at the train station and had already purchased our tickets, so arrival and entrance were very easy. He clearly knows so much about the subject and explained everything clearly (in English) and with such enthusiasm. It definitely enhanced the experience of visiting this amazing place for us and so would highly recommend this informative and well planned tour.

5.00Wonderful tour. 2 hours. Saw a lot. Martina was fun and very efficient. Asked questions of us what we would think of various brothel-type Pompei sections to see whether or not would be appropriate for our young kids. She also adjusted the tour to their pace and interests. Thank you!
