Pompeii
At arrival in Pompeii your Skip-the-Line tickets to the ancient site will be much appreciated as you breeze past the long lines and enter into this time capsule of the ancient Roman world. Here you will meet your local, expert, English speaking guide who knows all the hidden corners and interesting tales that are waiting to be discovered inside. Visit the marvelously preserved ancient villas, public baths, restaurants, theatres, and maybe even a brothel, of the ancient world as the past comes to life through the insights and stories of your enthusiastic guide.
Costiera Amalfitana
After some free time for a few last pictures of Pompeii and lunch (at own expense) the tour will continue further south along the picturesque seaside roads of the Amalfi Coast where the Dolce Vita was born. Here your breath will be taken away by the spectacular coastlines as the mountains cascade into the sea and romantic villages climb up the mountains like grapevines.

5.00John was our English tour guide. Being he was from the USA, he spoke perfect English which was great for explaining the history. We could understand every word which wasn’t the case on many other tours we had done previously with guides who’s native language wasn’t English. He took time on the bus ride there to explain what we will be doing and fill us in on details that we wouldn’t get on site. He also took time to answer questions on the ride back. Unfortunately it was a rainy day for us but I wouldn’t trade the experience for the money spent.

4.00We had a wonderfully kind and patient bus guide Francesca. Unfortunately we were near the back and close to a group of 18 colleagues on a work trip. They were VERY loud and we heard little of what Francesca shared. I think she could have asked that they be respectful of those who did want to hear her information on the various regions of Italy. I know they were nice people as we shared a lunch table with one of the couples and enjoyed our visit very much. Our Pompeii guide was excellent and the 18 went with another guide. I was not disappointed. We also stopped in Positano which was ok but unfortunately everything was closed bc it was Sunday. Just be aware of that if shopping is important to you.
You definitely should go.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed this trip even though it was a long day. Our tour guide, Laura, was very informative and helpful. Our driver, Maximilliam, was an expert, maneuring some difficult roads. We had appropriate stops and good food. Pompeii is such an amazing site. You could feel daily life in Roman times. Only wished we could have stayed longer. The Amalfi coast is breathtaking. Positano is a wonder. One of our truly favorite days in Italy.
