This experience combines the two archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum, famous for the eruption of Mount Vesuvius happened in 79 AD.
Join the guide at the entrance of Pompeii ruins called Porta Marina Inferiore, where the tour starts.
Discover the site and its best highlights with the assistance of an expert Archaeologist.
You will see the Forum – the main square – the most important houses and buildings and the famous plaster casts.
After the tour take a quick break, then reach the site of Herculaneum by the local metro line called Circumvesuviana at a few steps from Pompeii entrance.
End your tour with the site of Herculaneum, smaller than Pompeii but better preserved: visit the beach where more than 300 skeletons were found.

5.00Despite a bit of rain and wind, this was a marvelous experience. Michele was a fantastic guide through both Pompeii and Ercolano. The meet-up spot was easy to find, and the van travel to and between the sites was efficient. This tour was the highlight of our trip.

5.00Had Paolo as our guide at both sites. He was extremely knowledgeable and a font of information to share. Can feel his passion for archeology! Took the train from Sorrento to Pompeii where we met Simmona who did the initial meet up and then helped with the train transport to Herculaneum. An excellent day with learning about two fascinating sites of ancient history.

4.00The tour was very well organised, and our guide, Michele, was great. Very knowledgeable, he explained everything in details and patiently answered questions. We visited Hercolaneum, which is smaller than Pompei, in about two hours, which felt like a good length for the visit. Pompei, in the morning, was also two hours, which was definitely way too short. It would be interesting to have a little bit more time, as the site is huge. In both locations, the tour also felt a bit rushed at times, without a lot of time to take in the things we were looking at. I would have given 5 stars if we had had more time, with an earlier start in the morning for example. That said, both sites were extremely interesting, and as mentioned, the tour was well organised.

4.00The tour guide was great and we were able to explore the most important areas of both sites, which are fascinating and sombering in equal measure. Pompeii is huge and we plan to return another time at our own pace. I have knocked off one star, as the tour package had to be altered from the original plan, at quite short notice. Instead of getting a lift from Sorrento as itemised, we needed to make our own way by train to Pompeii to meet the guide. I understand it is very low season and they probably didn't have enough people travelling from Sorrento to justify picking us up. They were generous in their compensation for this, which we appreciated.

5.00We had a great time. The early start helped limit the crowds a bit. Vince was knowledgeable and engaging. We saw all of the big items at Pompeii but did not get to go into the antiquarium and only saw one of the plaster molds but were so caught up viewing all of the wall paintings, tiles and the brothel with excellent historical fact thrown in that we didn’t even notice until we got home at the end of the day. Herculaneum was a great addition and different enough to warrant its own visit. Getting there even with the tour is a bit more complicated so just bare that in mind

5.00Loved this tour. Our guide Genaro- was excellent- so knowledgeable and personable. Seeing both Pompeii and Herculaneum was fascinating. This was a great tour that our whole family enjoyed.
