Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius are the undisputed protagonists of the 79 AD eruption.

Get to know more about it with this incredible full day experience.

You will visit Pompeii in a small group tour led by an Archaeologist guide who will show you the best highlights of the site like the Forum – the main square of the city –, the main houses and buildings.

Then meet the hiking guide in the afternoon and leave with our minibus for up to 14 people with direction to Mount Vesuvius.

As arrive at Vesuvius entrance first 30 minutes up to the crater there's a steep walking to reach the top.

Hike the volcano and reach the top of it: look inside the still quiescent crater and wonder at the amazing landscape around you and the beautiful panorama overlooking the Bay of Naples.

At the end of the excursion, you will be transported back to Pompeii, where the tour concludes.

We did Pompeii and the Vesuvius hike. Antonio was a perfect guide through Pompeii. I only wish we had more time! Combining the two activities wasn't ideal for us because we would have liked more time to walk around on our own. The Vesuvius hike was well worth it and a good workout. The views were amazing.

The tour company was extremely disorganized and not well managed. They messaged us to say we needed to change times to 20m before the booking which would have been fine except then they were 40 min late. Then they miscommunicated the time we needed to meet the driver for the Vesuvius tour so we missed out on an additional 1hr and a half in the park. Then the driver was also late for that. The whole time communication was very poor. The his was the worst tour I’ve ever had.

The archeologist, Chiara, was very knowledgeable about Pompei. She did some work there among other places and could answer any questions the group had. It was an amazing tour.

This was a pretty good tour but the voucher instructions were bad. No need to do anything special with your voucher. Just meet at the main gate it describes.

We toured Pompeii with Teresa and Vesuvius with Mario. What an amazing day! The guides were so knowledgeable and entertaining, and made the experiences so much more fulfilling than if we had tried to do them on our own. Highly recommended!
The Vesuvius experience was much better then I expected.

Very well run day with being able to experience both sites. Definitely recommend. However, this was the first time in many many travels that we actually had a guide that was challenging to understand because of the accent and hesitation at times in speaking. Also, our guide to Pompeii was not given an updated list and we had to turn back to pick up 3 more people. Mario, our guide at Vesuvius was great, entertaining and able to accomodate all types of people in the group. We actually loved the Vesuvius experience mush more the Pompeii.

Sergio was clear and had great information. It was good pace. Pompeii tour was amazing. The wine afterwards with antipasto hit the spot after 3 hours of touring!

We did a tour of the ruins of Pompeii we had an excellent guide. She was thorough in her explanations and made sure we had enough time at the end to eat. There is one place/rest/eat/use the restrooms in the ruins. The second part was a tour of Mount Vesuvius with Mario. He was a great guide and offered great explanations of the volcano along with the history of the volcano and surrounding are of Pompeii and Naples. The groups were small and made it easy to follow and listen in to what our guides said. We would highly recommend this tour.

This is a very exertional hike up Mt Vesuvius and the uneven ground in both locations are challenging for anyone with mobility issues. However, it was great day, the archaeologist was very informative and the hiking guide very cautious and attentive. It was basically like two different tours and after the archaeologist left us in the ruins area, we had to find our way back to the front, try to find food and restrooms on our own before meeting the afternoon hike guide.
