  Paula was our guide and she was great. She gave plenty of information whilst also giving us quiet time following the early start and on the return trip after a long, exciting day. We had a good driver too (Romel if I remember correctly), who helped people on and off the coach if needed and was generally cheerful and approachable. I needed a warm jumper for the air conditioned coach but it was as comfortable as possible. There were a nice amount of rest stops but, as you can imagine with the nature of a coach stop, you are a captive audience and prices in cafes and shops were higher in our opinion, but they broke the journey up well. The Pompeii tour was a good length, as was the stop in Sorrento - however, I'd advise planning what you want to get out of the Sorrento stop to avoid it dragging if you end up just walking around shops or going quickly if you want to tick a few sights of your list or sit down for a lunch. We ate at Inn Bufalito whose service and food was good and quick but because it wasn't the first thing we did, we were a bit concerned about getting back in time. We had gelato from Raki in Sorrento which I'd recommend too and there was a lovely looking gelatatia near where the coach park that Paula recommended too. We would've had a second gelato there had we have planned better 😆. Paula gave us all a little gift on the way back which was a lovely, unexpected touch. It was also nice to see the camaraderie between the city tours staff as their paths crossed at coach stops- it seemed like a cohesive and supportive team. I would recommend this trip.

• Pompeii and Sorrento day trip.

  This is an amazing day trip, be mindful you have to stick to a strict time schedule due to only having one driver. Pompeii is an incredible experience, make sure you have comfortable shoes, I would suggest you do not do that trip in the peak summer months as there is limited shade, going in April was the perfect weather , very warm but manageable walking around. Our tour guide was very good in Pompeii. We left Pompeii site and bought the Pizza deal 18 Euro including drink and a sweet pastry, pizza was light not to heavy good idea to go for this option. The limnoncello experience is good , you get about 25 mins at that stop. On to Sorrento, beautiful place , the tour guide took us to the main view point which is simply breathtaking, we stopped at the bar on the corner and just sat there having a beer and limnoncello spritz and just simply taking in the view. We had just under 2 hours there, so you can rest and then pop into a few shops if you wish. Overall the day was spectacular, the views , the scenery along the way were beautiful. We only have one negative , if you are tall , like us we did struggle with the limited leg room on the coach, so we did fidget to switch leg position.

  I loved this trip. Marius was so knowledgeable, funny, and very accommodating for the whole trip. The visit to Sorrento and Amalfi coast was my favorite part. I definitely recommend this tour as long as you have done most of your bucket list in Rome. My only feedback is that it was too long. I feel like there were too many activities. It was quite exhausting.

  Khera was a great guide - she kept us up to date on times and meeting points - took lunch orders to make sure we stayed on schedule. Weather was very over cast - but we still enjoyed the beauty of the Amalfi coast. Thanks to Khera and the driver - they were both VERY friendly.

  Lavinia was great. She brought the energy all day. Pompeii was amazing. The time in Sorrento was short but we enjoyed this trip. It was stress free not having to organize this ourselves.

  Marius and team were exceptional. I was impressed with the knowledge they had, the transportation we received and the enjoyment we got. I would recommend this to anyone!

  This was an enjoyable day. Our driver and host were great and the guide at Pompeii was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a lot to take in but he did a great job of hitting the highlights. Sorrento is beautiful and we enjoyed the time we had just to explore.

  LOTS of time in the bus. Nice guide and driver, but we have a very rude tour guide in Pompeii and ear attachments that barely worked. The lemonchello factory was fun - just a tiny sip tasting of lemon and melonchello. Had an hour and 1/2 to walk around sorrento. WiFi on the bus worked well.

  The drive through the countryside was comfortable and beautiful but long (to be expected)! I wish we could have spent more time in Sorrento as the 1.5 hrs went by quite quickly. But seeing a brief snapshot of the beauty of both Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast was worth it. Our guide Paola and bus driver Roman were wonderful and kept us informed!
