First, you’ll discover the relics of one of ancient Rome’s most important cities as you explore the remarkably preserved streets of Pompeii with an expert archaeologist. Then, soak up the scenery along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast and stop for lunch (at your own expense) in the picturesque village of Positano.

Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.

This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.

Luggage and/or strollers are not allowed on this tour as there is no extra storage space on the vehicle.

If you are traveling with a young child and need a car seat, please contact our Guest Experience department prior to your tour.

Please note: In the low season (November through late March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit the town of Amalfi or Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping. During the weekends in the high season (May-September) we will also visit beautiful Sorrento instead of Positano.

Long drive but beautiful views

This is not truly a small group experience. It is a long bus ride with two groups, nearing 16 people. Cosimo, our guide, was fantastic. The Amalfi Coast was beautiful. Our Pompeii group leader was a bit aggressive. She covered a lot in 2 hours. On the other hand, we had to sacrifice beautiful pictures for information, as she very much rushed us. At times, she would not even allow us to stop for pictures

We had fun on this day trip, but it was falsely advertised as 2h15 in Positano, and we only had about 1.5 hours. Just be aware of that because we were planning on more time there.

We had a lovely day, the guided tour of Pompeii was just right. Enough information and all the highlights. We didn’t know very much about Pompeii before our visit and had no idea just how large it is. Without the guide we wouldn’t have seen as much. Positano is also well worth a visit, the journey there alone was picturesque. Plenty of time to wander and explore and the map provided by our guide helped. This is a long day out and you will spend a lot of time on the coach but it’s worth it to see these two incredible places.

From the history of Pompeii to the spectacular beauty of Positano and the Amalfi Coast, this tour is not to be missed. Our tour guide, Antonella, was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. She greatly enhanced the experience.
