  Good overall experience. I wish they had the tickets for the site earlier. We had to stand in the line for a long time. But the food was good and the operator dropped us at our hotel.

• Mostly great! Borderline “must” to experience.

  Marco, our van transport spokesman, was kind and energetic. For the price, it was a bit frustrating that 3/4ths of the van did not understand what he was saying due (over the van’s speakers and in general) due his thick accent and the speed of which he spoke. I know this sounds like an outrageously aggressive nitpick, but again, we paid a lot for this attraction. It would’ve been nice if he was a bit more thoughtful in this regard as many of us missed most of the information he gave us to and from our pickup points (for us we were in the van for 50-60 total minutes). We were given 2 hours for the Vesuvius hike, 2 hours for the Pompeii tour, and 1-1.5 hours for lunch. Many of us felt like the lunch could’ve been shortened and extra time given to one or both of the actual experiences (the hike and tour of Pompeii). This is a 4, borderline 5 star, event. Hard to pass up the opportunity to see Pompeii and Vesuvius. It was nice to have a smaller group. Still I hold firm at 4 stars for the price.

• A must do if you are in the area...Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius excursion.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our experience of Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius. It was highly informative and very interesting. It was very crowded with lots of tour groups and tour buses, though extremely organized. The lunch was delicious in between excursions. The bus drops you at the bottom of Mt. Vesuvius, which we were not expecting. Definitely go to the bathroom before arriving and I recommend hiring a guide and grab a walking stick. It is absolutely worth the climb up. The view from the top is stunning. People of all ages and all countries were there for the experience.

  We had a brilliant day visiting Pompéi and Mount Vesuvius. Our guide, Raffaele, was wonderful, she was knowledgable, had a great sense of humour, and made everyone feel comfortable and “at home”, which is not easy to do when you put a group of complete strangers together on a bus. She was a great DJ and played excellent music for everyone to enjoy on the trip…she even got us to sing together. And of course, our driver Giovanni was a real pro, navigating the steep hill and sharp bends up to Mnt V and getting us back safely despite the rain. Thank you to them both for making our day so great!

  Great trip with alot packed in. Pickup was exactly as planned. Pompeii was surprisingly uncrowned...our guide was awesome and provided interesting details. Lunch up on Vesuvius was awesome, and the restaurants views were great. Hiking to top of Vesuvius is not to be missed!
