  The organizer Giovanni and driver Bruno were great and we loved the tour guide at Pompeii. The lunch on Vesuvius was so delicious and generous.

• Pompei and Vesuvius tour

  The tour was fine. We first went to the Vesuvius and afterwards to Pompei. The climb to Vesuvius is heavy. Several people in our group did not make it to the top. Certainly in summer this must be a rather hard experience. Lunch was fine. However at Pompei I was less satisfied. First, the tour guide forgot a person in the restaurant. Second, we were more or less forced to enter a shop which took 15 minutes. Unfortunately, our guided tour through Pompei lasted therefore only for 1 hour and 45 minutes instead of the full two hours. This tour was ok, but people should be well aware that you can only see a very small fraction of the site. Important attractions such as the villa of the mysteries are out of reach in this short time. And because all the groups walk on the same route, Pompei felt really congested. Next time, I would simply take the excellent public transport to Pompei which runs very frequently and walk on my own. Third, at the entrance of Pompei it turned out that at this particular Sunday admittance was free to all visitors. It would have been just if we got a refund of the ticket price for Pompei which is part of the total price paid for the tour.

  Our driver Giovani was excellent, our guide Maria was also excellent, very helpful and patient. While at Pompei our guide Carman was very knowledgeable and informative. We had a great experience.

  It is a wonderful tour. But be aware, it is a lot of walking and hiking for one day. The lunch was excellent. Giovani, Maria and Carmen were great.

  Excellent tour! Gennaro, our tour guide was so lovely and friendly! Very warm and welcoming and went out of his way to make sure we were all having a good time. He provided facts for us during our time on the bus whilst travelling to each destination. Thanks to pure bus driver, Giovanni, for safely getting us about all day! Anna was our tour guide for during pompeii and she was great! It was so interesting and super helpful having someone who knew what they were talking about! The lunch was so good but I do agree with previous comments it's not a light lunch, but hey, who's complaining... We got good weather and were able to climb Mt. Vesuvius - the bus takes you a good bit of the way up but still takes about half an hour to get to the top. Definitely worth booking.
