The Crater Trail leads you on a scenic ascent to the summit, where sweeping views of the Bay of Naples and a striking glimpse into the volcanic crater await.

The Valley of Hell offers a more adventurous path, winding through solidified lava flows from the 1944 eruption and revealing extraordinary rock formations and a hidden lava cave.

Both trails are led by experienced guides who provide insights into the geological and historical significance of the area.

You have enough time to see both major sites and the lunch is somewhere scenic. Travel is comfortable and the guides have nice humor and are well informed. Perhaps an added bonus lime wine tasting could make the experience even more spectacular. Recommended for sure.

Pompei was very crowded but having a guide helped navigate through the crowds. A lot of interesting facts were told that you would not get if you self guided.

It was such great experience. Definitely worth it! The pick up process can improve a bit. It was confusing to keep running around and asking to check lists to see if it was the correct guide. There are multiple tours booked with the same company for different destination and picking up the guests at the same time and place. Once we were at the bus, everything was resolved and we enjoyed our trip really much! I didn’t get the wine tasting, but was able to purchase by the glass (5 EUR) at the restaurant. The food was good, but the highlight was the view. We were put on a table with others that didn’t get the wine tasting, and we had an awesome time at lunch meeting new people. It was such a pleasant atmosphere! The visit to the Vesuvius was amazing. It was about 1h30 walking (back and forth) and it was beautiful. The guide was super fun and nice. I just wished we had a coffee+sweet up there while appreciating the view. It was so beautiful that I wanted to extend a little longer, it’d have been super cool!

Small group made for a personal experience. Our guide was very engaging and kept the atmosphere light and entertaining. Just enough time at Pompeii and Vesuvius to see the highlights and the lunch was very good in a nice location with a view over Naples.
