This full day tour from Hobart has been designed to allow as much time as possible to explore Port Arthur. Formerly a convict site, Port Arthur is bursting with history and today boasts a landscape of natural beauty, scenic ruins and restored buildings. Gain a deep connection to the history of the convicts as you cruise around the Isle of the Dead on Carnarvon Bay. 2.00I did this tour thinking that you would get a guide tour around Port Arthur and you don’t get that. You basically get a driver in a small mini van that is not comfortable for a taller person. He gives an informative commentary but really it is just whilst he is driving down. Once at Port Arthur you are left to your own which adds value to the experience. For the price I don’t think it is of value.

5.00Our guide, Brodie, was extremely knowledgeable and informative, gave plenty of information about all the places we stopped at. Gave clear instructions about where we were going and how long we’d have in each place, timings were accurate, coach was comfortable

5.00We really enjoyed the day even though it rained, no bucketed down all day, so be prepared for all sorts of weather in Tasmania, we were not but learnt our lesson. Certainly no ones fault but we were not prepared. Lots to see and do and well worth the money. It was a shame there was no guide at Port Arthur, just talks at certain times throughout the day. The bus driver Phill was great and he tried so hard to make the day interesting and informative. A stop off at Tasmin Arch and the Chocolate shop made the day very full.
