5.00The day was amazing, the drivers/guides (Elise and Evan) we had were very friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. Each section of the tour was explained, so everyone knew where to go, what to see and times to be back, everyone was punctual. Thank you for a very enjoyable day.

5.00It can be a long day, especially if it rains. But it is a very interesting tour, reading about the history but not dwelling on the massacre.

5.00Not knowing much about prison life in Australia and specifically in Tasmania made this tour a full day learning experience. The drive to the penal colony took just a little over an hour and twenty minutes. The drive along the coast was pretty and enjoyable. The prison itself presented itself with lots of land and many old buildings still standing. I liked that we were given a playing card at the start. This was used at the end of the tour to see what type of convict I had become. Those who had done harsh crimes had harsh jobs. It took years to work your time off. I did not realize that stealing a loaf of bread back in London would label you as a criminal. Children, at the age of 7, were considered grown up. Many of those children were sent to the boys camp for restitution. The day passed quickly. I ended up being a convict who was a barber that stole food and sent to Tasmania to suffer punishment.

4.00Depending on who you book through make sure to understand who the booking agent is and who is actually giving the tour. You will more than likely get several emails/texts from both. Very confusing! Rely on who is actually giving the tour.

5.00From entering our coach to leaving it we had a lovely day out. Phil our driver was friendly, funny and so knowledgeable, he kept us entertained all day! Port Arthur is a fantastic well preserved part of all of our history!

5.00We enjoyed seeing the site in person rather than in pictures as previously. The tour guide on the bus and those at each of the buildings were well spoken and gave an informative and interesting blurb. The weather was beautiful and I enjoyed the day immensely. I have waited a long time to see Pt Arthur and now I can tick it off my list!
