• Shuttle Guided Tour along the Turnagain Arm, one of the worlds greatest scenic drives.
• One hour cruise to the face of Portage Glacier with Park Service Ranger.
• Visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conversation Center to view Alaska's most spectacular animals up close.
• Be prepared to walk through the Wildlife Center and be shuttled from Wildlife Center to Glacier.
• A shuttle will pick you up off the boat at 5:30 p.m. for your ride back to Anchorage with picturesque photo stops.

At the 140-acre Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, jaws drop in awe-even those of longtime Alaskans. AWCC’s mission is to provide refuge for orphaned, injured and ill animals-those that can’t survive in the wild. The center also educates visitors about Alaska’s Wildlife. Some animals you will see are brown bears, black bears, wolf pack, wood bison, moose etc...

5.00Great fun with tour guide Matthew. Loved the informative tour. The boat ride didn’t occur due to mechanical issues, so went to a salmon spawning stream. Ended up to seeing a brown bear in a stream! Which was much more thrilling!!!

5.00The group traveled along Turn Again Arm and visit many stops including the Wild Life Center. Gary hosted, drove and provided information about the places where we visited. He had great stories about Alaska. I felt bad for him since the group was mostly quiet. Nevertheless, he kept the information and stories flowing and I listened.

5.00Fantastic tour! We had Matthew (Matt) as our guide and he was full of knowledge and humor! He knew all the best spots and knows a little bit about so many things. He made sure to point out animals and historical/geographic features as we drove. I was so excited to see a couple beluga whale heads in the inlet! George and JoJo were fantastic on the boat and also had great jokes. The Captain was awesome as well and gave plenty of time for photos. The animal conservation was AMAZING! Our guide knew the schedule and got to the brown bears before feeding time and took our picture with a bear in the background. He also knew about all the other animals and we heard an elk bugle! Highly recommend and am so glad we did this our first day so we can use the knowledge we gained to our advantage as we travel.
Two thumbs up... make that six.

5.00A wonderful and educational trip. We had a blast. My family highly recommends this trip. If you are lucky and have Matt as your guide we think you will be as blown away as we were. We learned and saw so much. He is pure fun and info.

5.00Absolutely fabulous way to kick off my visit to Alaska from Australia . Our guide Matt was first class and like an encyclopedia of all things Alaska. The Crew on the Portage lake / glacier tour were fun and friendly. The Wildlife conservation centre gave a great insight to some Alaskan wildlife . We had a lovely small group as well so that was nice. Thanks Matt for a fantastic into in to Alaska. I highly recommend this day tour.
