5.00This has to be The Best walking tour I have ever taken. The guide (and owner) Dugan was absolutely amazing with his depth of knowledge and facts of Portland history. Entertaining and engaging, with a grasp of what our group wanted to learn about, he answered every question, put each question into both historical perspective as well as geographic perspective to where we were standing at the time. Wholeheartedly recommend!

5.00We have been to Portland dozens of times for food and fun but never knew much about the history. Taking the tour with Dugan was SO fun! We learned a lot of interesting history that makes us appreciate Portland even more than we already did. It was the perfect length and distance. Dugan was very knowledgeable and basically knows everything about Portland, now we actually know something too!! 😂 We highly recommend his tour!!!

5.00Our hidden history tour with Dugan was fabulous. He was great about communicating important details before we even booked the tour and continued to stay in touch with all the details as the tour date approached. The tour itself was educational, entertaining, engaging. Our group of four learned a lot about both Portland and Maine. Along the way Dugan adeptly answered questions about everything from Maine's economy and politics to local traditions and foodie spots. The tour was an amazing foundation for the rest of our time in Portland. Everyone who visits the city should start with this tour!

5.00We had such fun on this tour. I picked it for Dugan's wonderful reviews and his impressive resume. He absolutely exceeded my expectations. We were late in joining, and he made it easy. I started walking in the wrong direction to meet the group, and he eased my concern. We joined the tour to find another sweet couple from CA, and proceeded on a tour full of fun and education. Dugan led the tour with humor, genuine love of the city, and a vast knowledge of its history. We couldn't ask for better. Thank you!

5.00While I am a big fan of walking tours, I was blown away by the wonderful tour that Durgan lead in Portland. This man has put together something uniquely informative and entertaining at the same time. For the full two hours of the tour, there was never a lull and the small group ensured that we were all fully engaged and able to ask questions. I was so impressed with Durgan, that I will plan a return trip to Portland to take another of his tours.

5.00What an enjoyable morning we spent with Dugan. He is a wealth of information which he shares with humor and relevance. His Hidden History tour covered a wide array of slices of Portland’s past. We have done many walking tours and historic houses over the years with docents and Dugan is one of the best guides we have ever experienced.
