Our first winery will be at a charming vineyard, where we will explore the estate and its vines. We will have the opportunity to taste the typical wines from the Vinho Verde region, paired with local delicacies. During the visit, we will celebrate by opening a vintage port wine, an irresistible delight for the palate.

5.00This was one of the best wine tours we have ever taken. I would highly recommend it. Andre was phenomenal. Very knowledgeable, very nice, and incredibly passionate about the Douro region and Portuguese winemaking in general. In addition, he does have a spectacular surprise for all of those on the tour. The Boat Ride was very relaxing, and Andre will take you to some of the nicest views in the Douro region for picture taking! I also want to give a shout out to Ally Smalls for recommending this tour. Her YouTube videos are some of the best to help you plan for Portugal. Jeff and Suzy - October 2025

5.00Great guide, Andre, a vineyard owner, sommelier and member of local wine boards. Articulate and personable made the trip fun! Visited his family's vineyard where we toured and enjoyed tasting several wines abd fortified wines with olives, bread, olive oil and enjoyed participating and watching two different ways to open the bottles. On to lunch, delicious, a lovely boat ride on the Douro River then another vineyard with more tastings and meats, and cheeses. Andre gave each of us a small memento of his port and a photo album of the day!

5.00Mikael was a wonderful guide and host. This tour is one that you cannot miss! It was a fantastic day and we were in brilliant company. Both wineries were brilliant and a great experience. All staff are very knowledge. As somebody who isn't a great wineries fan, I can confidently say I've been converted to a wineries lover! This is a relaxed and enjoyable day and not pretentious in the slightest. Book it now, you won't regret it and there are a few surprises along the way!

5.00My husband and I would give this more stars if we could. This was our first experience in Portugal and set the bar very high for the rest of the trip. Andre and his team provide an incredible experience including expert wine knowledge, breathtaking views of the Duoro Valley, and a personalized approach to a busy tour. We highly recommend anyone looking for a tour of the Duoro Valley look no further. This was the highlight of our whole trip and we will definitely do it again.

5.00We just returned from a two week trip to Portugal, and the Douro Valley wine tour was the absolute highlight of the trip! That is really saying a lot because I loved everything about the people and sites of Portugal. Our tour guide was Andre, and he was awesome. He knows everything about wine and wine making in Portugal. He can answer any question you might have along the way. Plus it is a small group of only 8 people for the tour. A full day tour might seem like a big investment in terms of time that you have in Porto. You might think that a half-day tour would fit better in your plans. No. Don't do that! You will be so glad that you took a full day tour if you go with Andre. Best guide ever! And, I would love to tell you everything that we did during the tour, but I don't want to spoil the fun and surprise for you. I can tell you that you will not be disappointed with this tour!

5.00We were a full, cosy, van load of 4 couples. Initially, we were taken to a different region en route to the Douro. We arrived at the narrow gates of a family vineyard.... the guide's family property. This was for us, the highlight. Andre's father is a true gentleman. He showed us an actual family chapel, then the grapes vines, showed us where the grapes were "stomped" and then to a tasting area where we had wines and port (5 glasses) paired with food or chocolate brownie. It included cutting a bottle of port with hot tongs and cold water, followed by breaking a sparkling wine with a large knife. The Douro cruise was ok, the van viewing stops were spectacular. The final wine tasting in the Douro was ok with small tastes and the opportunity for people to squeeze inside a wine barrel. Very worthwhile trip with the first destination the best. Highly recommend this tour and guide Andre.

5.00We had a great time with Michel and Andre. Both were very knowlegeable and extremely engaging. We started the day as strangers and it felt as though we were friends by the end of the tour. It's an entirely different experience than the larger tours. The day was broken up into several locations and activities so it never felt we were in the car too long. It was a great experience and would highly recommend.

5.00We absolutely loved this trip, by far our best experience so far in Portugal. Michael was a phenomenal host, driver and guide, with our first visit on the trip - to Quinta Santa Maria being probably the most perfect visit I've ever done. A wide range of tastings, experiences and food, it's amazing how much you fit into one day. Thank you Michael!

5.00Michael was very personable. His knowledge of winemaking and it's history was extensive. Trip was comfortable and enjoyable, even in the middle of a heat wave . We tasted some incredible wines, including the best bottle of white I have ever tried. Highly recommended.
