Porvoo is the second oldest city in Finland that locates approximately 50 km away from Helsinki city centre, which is a great option for a daytour from Helsinki!

The Porvoo Old Town and the Porvoonjoki River Valley are recognised as historically and culturally significant as one of the National Landscape of Finland. Porvoo Old Town is a popular tourist destination, known for its well-preserved 18th & 19th century buildings. The Porvoo Cathedral constructed in the 15th century is also the must-not-miss spot.

You will have slow walk on the street of Porvoo Old Town, hear the facts, stories, and interesting things about Porvoo from your guide, and experience its medieval atmosphere. After the guided tour, you will have some free own time to explore more about this town. You may visit some lovely cafes or shops that you just pass by, take some more pictures, and have your own light adventure in Porvoo!

When time is up, your guide will take you returning to Helsinki to finish this tour.

Porvoo is a charming and picturesque town, perfect for a relaxing visit. Its colorful wooden houses, cobblestone streets, and iconic red riverside warehouses make the Old Town especially beautiful. There are plenty of cozy cafés, small shops, and scenic corners to enjoy as you wander. Our guide, Darius, was very knowledgeable about the area, patiently explaining the town’s history and giving us plenty of time to explore on our own. Porvoo is a small town filled with character and heritage, and it’s definitely worth adding to your Finland itinerary.

Great tour! Darius was fantastic. Do not recommend for those with difficulty walking though....cobblestone streets were challenging for some on our tour group.

The rain, on the day, put a bit of a dampener on our Tour, though, we all had wet weather gear, and, comfortable walking shoes. An informative Tour, interesting, and, it was unique to travel to and from Porvoo by coach.

Was a very nice tour with a great guide. Porvoo was beautiful and going into the shops was great for picking up gifts for people back home. Would highly recommend!

Our guide was excellent but this trip is very overpriced for what is offered. Would recommend looking at options for arranging own transport and finding a local guide for 2 hours.

Excellent Experience! The Porvoo tour was fantastic! Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating history about the charming old town. The scenic drive from Helsinki was comfortable, and we had ample time to explore Porvoo’s cobbled streets, colorful houses, and cathedral. The included lunch was delicious. Highly recommend for a perfect day trip!

It was a very interesting historic tour. The old wooden houses and the new modern houses by the river was quite a contrast.
