On this day we take you to the biggest and worldwide known Slovenian cave system - the Postojna caves. Amazing two million years old and 21 km long system of underground caves is one of the most easily accessible networks of underground caves in the world. First, you will experience the ride by electric train, after that, a guided walk will follow through a series of cave halls with drop stones, pillars, and translucent curtains that create unforgettable impressions. The underworld system is home to the mysterious, unique, and rare amphibian Proteus Anguinus, or "baby dragon" as it is popularly called here.
Back in the daylight, the trip will continue towards the astonishing castle of the robber knight Erasmus. For centuries dramatically hanging in over a 100-meter-high vertical cliff, it's waiting for you to enter and discover its secrets, legends, and myths.
Driving through the green scenery, we return to Ljubljana.

There is a constant temperature of 10°C (50°F) in the caves, dress properly, and wear comfortable shoes (flipflops are not recommended).
The minimum number of participants must apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative date/tour or full refund.
In case you fail to provide us with a desired meeting point up until 24h before departure, your meeting point will be the City hotel (Dalmatinova 15, 1000 Ljubljana)

5.00Trip was well organised, the tour guide/driver Luca was very informative. Everything ran to schedule. Both the castle and the caves are worth visiting but the cakes I would say was the real high of this trip. I would recommend.

5.00Great tour, excellent and well-informed driver/guide, everything was pretty well ordered and we got to the right locations as planned, with swift entries etc. For me, I would have preferred to have had a tiny bit more time at the castle but suspect each person has their own limits with that type of thing!

5.00Excellent trip with an excellent host. Castle and cave were brilliant. Something quite magical about the cave. Only small downside was that after the cave visit it felt a little rushed. The cave was busy so had to queue.
Super interesting and unique sites makes this tour a great day

5.00This tour provided a comfortable, seamless and stress free means to access and experience the Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle from Ljubljana. Definitely tourist attractions, but not to be missed. Both were absolutely magical and incredible. Our guide, Luca, was a wealth of information, a most capable driver, very entertaining and interactive. Construction on the main highway provided opportunity for a most wonderful detour through the back roads to access the Castle. We loved getting a closer glimpse into the beautiful lush countryside, rural villages and farms. Luca did a fantastic job of engaging the group. Great value and highly recommended.

5.00Loved this tour of Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle with To Do in Slovenia. Matej was a great guide, and the cave was really impressive, while Predjama Castle was such a unique place to visit. Everything was smooth and well organized, and it was a great way to see more of Slovenia.
