• An Outstanding Prado and Royal Palace Experience with Asier

  Our tour with Asier in Madrid was absolutely outstanding and, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip. The Prado Museum is immense, but Asier guided us through it masterfully. He walked us chronologically through the different artistic styles—from Romanesque to Impressionism—always stopping in front of the most representative works. This approach made it easy to understand the innovations of each period and the genius of the artists, placing their work in both its historical and personal context. We were especially captivated by the Prado’s Mona Lisa and by Velázquez’s extraordinary ability to portray the psychology of his subjects. It was a true tour de force: engaging, insightful, and entertaining throughout. At the Royal Palace, Asier began with a clear and visual introduction to its history, followed by a walkthrough of the main rooms as they were actually used by the kings and queens who lived there from the 18th century to the present monarch. His explanations made the history feel very close and personal, as if we had a real connection to the people who once inhabited the palace. We particularly loved the impressive collection of clocks and the Stradivari instruments. To top it all off, Asier treated us to an aperitif at the end of the day, the perfect way to debrief after such a rich and busy experience. This tour was truly the highlight of our time in Madrid. Highly, highly recommended!

  We had a delightful and enlightening tour of the Prado and the Royal Palace with Julio! Our 9 year old was quite enthralled with his stories and is still talking about it at home. We also appreciated the flexibility the tour company when I made a mistake with the time of our booking. All around an excellent experience and highly recommend this brilliant guide and great tour company!

  This tour combined the best of Madrid’s history and art. Our guide, Fernando, made every painting at the Prado Museum come to life with his in-depth knowledge. Walking through the Royal Palace was like stepping back in time, with its extravagant rooms and stunning details. A must-do for anyone visiting Madrid!
