In the main season The Golden Lane is an optional stop (as it often gets overcrowded). If Castle is too crowded guide can skip the visit of the Golden Lane and continue according to the itinerary. Castle ticket is valid for 2 days so travelers can visit the lane by themselves the following day

Join your guide for the afternoon walk in the footsteps of Czech kings all the way to the Prague Castle. First, we'll hop on a tram to bring us up the Prague Castle. But we won’t see it just from the outside. Let your guide take you in. See its history better. Up close. Personal. We’ll go through all the most important buildings in the Castle – St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and a Golden Lane. After a short walk you’ll see one of the most magnificent baroque churches in Prague – the church of St. Nicolas. Its majestic dome can be seen from most places in the city center. We’ll stop on Kampa Island to see love-locked bridge as well as the famous John Lennon’s Wall. Lastly, we'll tell you the story of magnificent Charles Bridge, which was the only way across the river throughout the medieval ages. So don’t just aimlessly wander around. Let our professional guide share the amazing stories of the City of a Hundred Spires.

5.00Honza (aka Jack) is a great guide. He kept me constantly engaged and is a great wealth of knowledge about Prague history. He went above and beyond, showing and educating us on landmarks I didn’t even anticipate seeing. He even recommended restaurant reservations and schooled us on general Prague customs, which he didn’t even have to do. Talking to people for 3 1/2 hours is exhausting and Honza pulls it off seamlessly. I would highly recommend a tour with him and wish him luck in all his future endeavors.

5.00This tour is mostly the castle and cathedral on the other side of the river from the old town. However, you take the tram there for a small extra charge (coin or card). Petra, our guide was wonderful and we learned so much about Prague and the area.

4.00Martin is very informed and tells you with a sense of humor. Kids were a bit bored but thats to be expected. I sometimes had a hard time understanding with his accent but that's my problem! 😂 Overall very good tour.

1.00Think twice about this tour before booking if you have any physical impairment. My friend has a knee issue, of which the guide was informed of at the start of the tour and a second time about 30 minutes later. Apparently she didn’t care as we walked at a fast pace, on and off two trams, up and down stairs and over cobble stoned streets. We even lost 2 people towards the end of the tour. Also, this was advertised as a 3 hour tour but turned into 4 hours. I have taken many tours with Viator and this is the first time I’ve been so disappointed.
