In the main season The Golden Lane is an optional stop (as it often gets overcrowded). If Castle is too crowded guide can skip the visit of the Golden Lane and continue according to the itinerary. Castle ticket is valid for 2 days so travelers can visit the lane by themselves the following day

But we won’t see it just from the outside. Let your guide take you in. See its history better. Up close. Personal. We’ll go through all the most important buildings in the Castle – St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica and a Golden Lane. After a short walk you’ll see one of the most magnificent baroque churches in Prague – the church of St. Nicolas. Its majestic dome can be seen from most places in the city center. We’ll stop on Kampa Island to see love-locked bridge as well as the famous John Lennon’s Wall. Lastly, we'll tell you the story of magnificent Charles Bridge, which was the only way across the river throughout the medieval ages. So don’t just aimlessly wander around. Our guide Petra was wonderful and taught us so much about the history and culture of Prague. She was very knowledgeable a d also funny. We got to see so much during our tour and she gave us helpful recommendations for the rest of our stay.

The Prague 3 hour afternoon walking tour of the Old Town including Prague Castle was a brilliant and wonderful experience. Petra was our tour guide. She was the best, truly amazing. She provided detailed information around the history of Prague, especially the aspects of the Castle, St Vitas Cathedral and the Basilica, and also many details around various apects of the Old Town. She also provided us with many tips on other places to visit and where and what to eat. She clearly is passionate about Prague and very enthusiastic in sharing it with the tour group. Highly recommend this tour

Petra was an amazing tour guide. She presented Prague's history and landmarks in a very friendly and personable manner. She was very knowledgeable and excited to show us her city. We were able to get some amazing pictures as well as insight on how it is to live in Prague.

Amazing tour with in depth stories and very personable tour guide - Petra was amazing! From important information to (very) helpful recommendations, our ability to appreciate Prague’s beauty increased so much thanks to a deeper knowledge about its rich history, fascinating people, and culture worthy of taking a deep dive into. Not only was the tour very insightful, but Petra was really generous with her time, going over the original 3 1/2 hours (which passed very quickly) to help us with recommendations, comfort, and education. Would highly recommend!

Petra was an extremely knowledgeable guide who provided interesting historical and general facts. The tour started with a tram ride (not inc about £2 each, kids and over 65s free) to the castle. We were shown round the castle grounds and went into the cathedral also the grand hall along with other buildings. After we walked back into the old town (same side of river as castle) Petra showed us some interesting sights with the tour finishing at the Charles Bridge, we took ourselves to the Lennon wall too which is just a 2 min walk from there. I would recommend this tour as it explains alot of Czech history and sights with Petra being a very receptive guide as it was an extremely cold day whereby she factored in a cafe stop for a drink and a warm up, her english is impeccable and she is very humorous.

This was a very good tour, allowing us to see many important and beautiful sites around Prague Castle. It was well organized, and the pace was good. The guide (Mike) was very knowledgeable and friendly, though he spoke quickly and was at times a bit hard to follow (possibly complicated by the auido/headphones). Appreciate that the castle ticket was included in the price of the tour, and also appreciate local recommendations of things to do!
