Small goups. Big flavours. Real stories. The original Prague food tour by Taste of Prague since 2011, recommended by the NYT. The idea is simple: take you to places you would not have found, order delicious, authentic dishes and drinks you would not have ordered. And tell you things you didn't know you should google.
We run this on empathy. We know how precious your vacation time is, so we will not waste it on second-rate food or experience. We will treat your vacation and trip to Prague as if it were our own.
So if you want to spend a few hours in the company of well-traveled locals who will serve you must-try foods and drinks and will not resort to tourist clichés because simply our conscience would not let us (and our Czech friends would eat us alive for it), we'll be happy to have you.

Just kidding. You will not be seeing the Charles Bridge. No authentic food around it! (Okay, with one exception, but that's it!)

Where social change happens. This avenue is central to Czech history, past and present. We will be finishing the tour very nearby.

All Fees and Taxes
Water is available in every stop on the tour. Bottled water is provided on hot days.
The tour includes many tastings across several restaurants, which constitute a big meal. Although appetites can vary, most people cancel their dinner reservations after the tour if they have any.
One local drink per stop. (And we have non-alcoholic options, too.)
Non-alcoholic options are available if you'd like to skip on alcohol. But then again, why would you? You're on vacation, right?
We're easy. Just ask. Sure, we'll hold your baby. Yes, we'll make that reservation. Etc.
The tour includes many tastings across several restaurants, which constitute a big meal. Although appetites can vary, most people leave the tour full and satisfied. Perhaps feeling a bit guilty.
We're proud of the local things we serve. Your foreign cravings will not be included in the price.

5.00I’ve been on quite a few food tours in various countries in Europe, and I think this was the best one I’ve been on in terms of variety and quality of places we went. I was sort of surprised when we walked into both Alma and Forbina - both places were much nicer than any establishment I’ve been to on any food tour. I really appreciated that we got more of a full picture of the cuisine that’s offered in Prague - from your casual Czechian pub to an upscale restaurant and bar. Jan is a great guide and provides a TON of information, not just about food but about history, culture, and what it’s like to live in Prague. He is very blunt and unfiltered (in a good way) and most of the tour was him talking - not a bad thing, but I think it also would have been okay to have more of a chance to chat amongst the group of tour participants. Overall it’s a five-star experience; I’d definitely recommend the tour.

5.00Awesome tour! Incredible breadth of food choices! Come hungry as the amount of food is substantial! We learned a lot about Czech history and culture. Saw different parts of the city. Jan was awesome and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend!

5.00We had such a fantastic experience on this food tour through Prague—it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The tour did a great job of bringing us to authentic, local spots we likely never would have found on our own, and everything felt thoughtfully curated rather than touristy. The standout moment for us was definitely the dessert—it was absolutely incredible and something we’re still talking about. A very close second was the time spent sitting down over a couple of glasses of wine, chatting with Jan. He shared so much interesting history about Prague in such a relaxed and engaging way that it felt more like spending time with a knowledgeable friend than being on a tour. Overall, it was the perfect mix of great food, local culture, and meaningful conversation. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague!

5.00By far, one of the best food tours we have been on! Caroline was a fantastic guide - full of energy, history and great recommendations. We started at at a beer hall that was historic - we were able to explore the beer (fun fact, Czech's drink more beer per capital than any other country), ham (no nitrates), sausages, fresh horseradish (very different than the US, not too spicy), and other foods. It was a fun experience. We then went to visit a bakery to have the traditional savory appetizer that Czech's take to parties. Then onto a beautiful fine dining restaurant for a delicious main (outstanding food). We then went to a famous dessert shop and tried two different desserts and ended up in a cool bar with a great cocktail made with local liquer. A fantastic experience that leaves you full of great food and rich history. Thanks Caroline!

5.00Loved this tour!! Great way to kick off our Prague vacation! Local food samples we were given were most excellent! We really enjoyed getting a complimentary beverage at every stop too! Could have shared each tasting at each stop with a partner as it was too much food for just one person by the time you were done. Very full tummies! The last stop was a fun cocktail. Iit would have been fun to get a choice between 2 to 3 different drinks rather than us all having to get the same drink.
