Saltos del Petrohue
During our walk in the park, we will walk the Enamorados trails and the Saltos trail. We will be able to enter the Ever Green Forest, enjoy the centennial trees of the Park such as the Coigues, Mañios, Tepu and some shrubs such as the Murtas and Chilcos among others, our guide will explain us about the biodiversity of the area, the present ecosystem and the importance of sustainability in each exploration in protected areas. Finally we will visit the Saltos trail, where we will be able to observe the force of nature with the waterfalls of the Petrohue River, without a doubt a postcard from the Los Lagos Region.
Volcan Osorno
We will visit Osorno Volcano (2654 masl) where we will get to the ski center sector (1254 masl) in this sector we will have the alternative (optional) to take the ride of the chair lifts or to take a walk on the volcanic sand, being able to observe the wonderful views towards Lake Llanquihue, where even on clear days we can see the Pacific Ocean. During our stay at Osorno Volcano we will have time for lunch before returning to Puerto Varas.

Excellent tour on a perfect day

5.00This premium tour was a very small group, only 4 people plus the guide. Instead of a large tour bus we were comfortably taken in a small van, which made it easier to hear our guide and talk with each other. The four of us plus the guide represented 4 different countries, and we had some really interesting conversations. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the flora & fauna at Petrohue Falls, and gave us a lot of detailed information. We had a very good lunch at the restaurant on the volcano, and then took the ski lift up and continued walking from there. It was a gorgeous day and the view was absolutely spectacular.

5.00Jaime, our host/tour guide, was exceptional! Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and full of good information; historical as well as botanical. He called to our attention the unique biodiversity of the area saved by making all of these lands National Parks at the suggestion of Theodore Roosevelt, upon one of his visits to Chile. As an avid photographer, he stopped and showed us particular points of interest where we could take a picture, so we did! A most enjoyable experience! Highly recommended to anyone coming down these paths!… you must!

5.00Great day out with Jaime. He adapted the trip to suit me and the Esther, holiday season as I was the only person that day. He made sure I was happy with arrangements and he was great source of knowledge about Chile, nationally and locally as well as the flora and fauna. Choose Southerexchile. You won’t regret it
