Hiking at Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park & Oropendola Waterfall

Hike at the national park trail ( 2,5 miles) through dry tropical forest to see incredible nature, volcanic activity, and wildlife.

When you finish your hike, in a short walk from the national park entrance you reach the Oropéndola Waterfall, and take a dip on the crystal waters of the river to relax.

Afterward, enjoy a complete and healthy buffet lunch with a beautiful view of the area

Tour duration: half day

Departure time: 6:30 am or 7:00 am

Return time: Approx. 2:00 pm

Please note: This tour is not available on Mondays, ( Hiking areas are closed on Mondays)

Coolest trip I have ever done. Hike around volcano, volcanic activity, waterfall and swimming, mineral mud at the hot springs and hot springs. So awesome!

We loved the hike and visit to the waterfall, hot springs and bathe in mud!! Loved all the stories and culture we learned on the trip as well. Would totally recommend!

We had a private tour for 3 people. Nacho customized the tour based on what we had requested. He managed to fit everything in we wanted to do - hiking, zip lining, waterfalls, shopping, lunch, hot springs, mud baths. He even added an additional hike to see 4 smaller waterfalls given we had some extra time in our day. He was on time, friendly, knowledgeable about the area and activities, and had plenty of drinks/snacks available for us to enjoy along the way. We had a great day and would definitely use him for future excursions when we visit Costa Rica!

We had a private tour organized by Nacho for our group of 14 people (3 families -adults and teens). Nacho picked us up in a large bus (at our villa) that comfortably drove us to the Volcano and Waterfall Hike. The hike was beautiful and it lead us to the most stunning waterfalls. We then had some lunch before we finished the day with Zip Lining. Our guides were professional, helpful and the day was amazing. I can not say enough about this tour and the incredible waterfall we got to see and swim into! Nacho is amazing and I agree with all the other reviews! He is attentive, professional and amazing!!!

I would 100x recommend any tour with Nacho he was THE BEST! Tour was amazing, Nacho let us play our own music in the van, watched our stuff as Ivan took us on the hikes and 100% trusted him with all belongings. Was a safe driver and overall best excursion we took our entire 10 day trip. A must do in my opinion! Side note: masks were worn by Nacho and Ivan the entire ride, all areas were very covid safe.
A Delightful day with a company that’s like friends.

Nacho Tours is a very comfortable company to do business with. Ignacio, Nacho, is very knowledgeable and with his friend, William, you learn the flora and fauna of Costa Rica as well local interesting facts. Blue River...don’t tell me it’s not blue...the falls and don’t miss Julian’s nature walk. Fun !!!
