Our surf lessons include a 15-30 minute land portion where we cover safety, ocean conditions, and practice technique. Then we spend roughly 1 hour in the ocean catching waves together.

5.00Dane Fish was amazing. He made the experience feel like a breeze. I had never surfed before, I left feeling confident that I could surf on my own. With his instruction, I was able to ride the waves from start to finish at every wave! I even stayed on the board to the end to paddle back and do it again. He made it so easy and like I had surfed my entire life. 100% recommended!

5.00My trainer Kaden was awesome and the experience was amazing. I'm almost 70 and he was able to get me up on the board. If you lessons this is the place.

5.00Justin was very knowledgeable and patient. It was very physically demanding. Be prepared for a workout. But it was a good experience and I highly recommend this vendor.

5.00Aaron was a friendly instructor. Started promptly on time. Would definitely recommend. Even though surfing isn't a fit for my son I would still recommend this 1 on 1 surf lesson. The beach was great and the small waves perfect for a beginner. There was also a restaurant that had the perfect seating along the beach to watch the lesson from. Not to mention the food was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and welcoming at check in. And Aaron was again a great instructor. Highly recommend!

5.00This was my 2nd surfing lesson after doing a group lesson at Stokedrift the week before and loving it. Went out with Skylar who was helpful. I learned a lot: turning, reading the waves, and all the basics of surfing. Confident now that I know enough now to surf. Waikiki! What a great spot to learn surfing!

I had a one-on-one lesson with the surf instructor and also the photographer was very helpful and nice, it was a mega experience and also the beautiful view from the water to Waikiki and Diamond Head. Especially great that a photographer is out on the water, the photos are incredibly great. At other surf schools, the photographer often just stands on the beach and takes pictures from there. Clearly recommended and worth the price!

5.00Australian girl that recently got back from Hawaii. I come from a surfing background, but wanted some confidence after a long break due to injury & also unsure re the reefs out front as haven’t surf here in a while. I had Skylar as my instructor & he was unreal. We picked a day that was ideally larger swell since I could already surf, he didn’t treat me like a beginner at all. Super supportive when we out the back calling me into some sick waves!! Pretty sure the camera guy was Mitch? Sorry if incorrect but he was also a sick guy. Skylar was such a chilled guy & we had some good chats in our session. Felt like I was surfing with a friend than an instructor. Super happy I picked him to surf with. Highly recommend stoke drift for all levels of surfers but also highly recommend Skylar!! All the crew stoke drift were unreal as well! So thanks guys 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

5.00This was a great experience. We booked the private 1-1 for each myself and my son because a friend recommended it. There was another group that did a lesson and I am glad we had our own instructors because of the more hands-on attention they were able to give us. We could immediately tell that Aaron and Taylor were really passionate about teaching surfing. After a quick dry run ashore they towed us out to the spot in very beginner friendly waters. We were able to stand up and were catching waves after 1-2 tries and really enjoyed the hour spent out there. I guess they also offer advanced lessons but we didn’t spend enough time on Oahu to take advantage of it, which I probably will next time. Mahalo!

5.00Husband had never surfed and it was on his bucket list to ride the Hawai’i waves. Joey was a great instructor and had hubby surfing by the end of the hour with pictures to prove it. It was his favorite part of our trip and he’s now hooked and in search of his first board. We highly recommend this excursion. Thanks, Joey!
