You can get a little more rest during the one and a half-hour journey to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and State Museum after an early breakfast at the hotel. Visit the most notorious former German Nazi Concentration and Extermination Camp with a guided tour. An educational tour will give you a greater understanding of this extraordinary site, where more than 1.1 million men, women, and children lost their lives. Our tour guide, Maciej, picked us up precisely on time and it continued throughout the tour. He was a great driver, arranged for interesting tours for us, and always had water and a local snack for us if we were hungry after a tour. He arranged for us to try local foods for dinner and generally took great care of us! I would definitely travel with him again in the future!

Our time with Maciej was beyond our expectations. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he wanted to make certain that we truly had a cultural experience. Besides that, he was lots of fun, provided us with great conversation, lots of food and snacks, and educated us on every aspect of the area’s significant history. Highly recommend!
