5.00I can’t say enough good things about Edgar! He has lived in Madeira all his life which gives him invaluable insight, knowledge, and information to really experience the island. He is dependable, thoughtful, patient, has a fun sense of humor, a great photographer, has the ability to intelligently pivot on a plan due to weather (invaluable), and is a wonderful driver (which is extremely important in Madeira due to the very challenging narrow roads [which I would consider alleys in the US], extreme hills, and unbelievably challenging navigation). Madeira was a WONDERFUL trip and is unforgettable with its beauty, its adventures, its food… and Edgar. He is a part of the trip that I will never forget. He is THAT special of a person. I NEVER write a review after our trips but as soon as I got home from Madeira I wrote this review because of how much I think of Edgar. He personally made our trip that special.

5.00Highly recommend taking a tour with Always Madeira. The scenery is spectacular and varied. It's well worth exploring the island with an experienced guide. Edgar is a great guide, safe driver and good company. The jeep (Discovery) is very comfortable. We did a full day tour of the North West and half day tour of the North East

5.00Our first trip with alwaysmadeira was 3 years ago with Edgar. When we got last December to Madeira it it was obvious to use alwaysmadeira services again. Edgar is a great tour guide and a professional 4x4 driver, speaks perfect English and Portuguese. He knows the island very well, gives an answer to any question and shares a lot of knowledge, his driving is very safe and relaxed even in of-road tracks. We took a day tour to the north-west and coordinated our expectation with Edgar before the trip, it was magnificent experience. For sure we will returns to Madeira and Edgar.

5.00Edgar Silva our tour guide was fantastic, very polite , friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the island of Madeira. Not only did he drive us but also provided a constant commentary as we drove to various parts of the island . Would recommend him and his company very highly without any reservations.

5.00We did the full-day Jeep tour to the north west of Madeira with Edgar as our guide, and it was absolutely amazing. He introduced us to parts of the island we would never have discovered on our own and shared so many interesting facts along the way. We were a family of four adults and two 11-year-old kids, and we all loved every moment of it. Edgar made us feel safe, was calm, very informative and clearly passionate about Madeira. The ride was fun, the views were stunning, and we never felt rushed. This tour showed us the real beauty of Madeira, and Edgar made the experience personal and memorable. Highly recommended!

5.00We were fortunate to have taken a tour with Edgar (north east tour into Santana) and we are so happy we did. He was so incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed and gave us tons of guidance. He also planned the tour based on our location and were able to miss all the crowds and got such a unique look of the island. We rented a car, but still elected to do this to take in the beauty the island has to offer and would 10/10 recommend a tour with Edgar and his team. Thank you to Edgar for giving us unforgettable experience that we will keep with us for the rest of our lives .

5.00Our day with Always Madeira 4x4 was amazing! Our guide, Edgar, is absolute a great guide and driver. He is a walking fountain of knowledge on the island's history, secret spots and vibrant flora. Even showed us the Madeirian Crocodile! It was a day packed with diverse sights, including an unforgettable moment 4x4 action off road! Add a stunning natural pool swim as lunch break? Perfect. 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM of pure, rugged, Madeira magic. Thank you for this incredible, highly recommended adventure!
