Karnak Open Air Museum
Welcome to Luxor and the start of a wonderful Nile cruise holiday. This morning, our tour will begin with visiting the magnificent Temple of Karnak. Karnak is more than a temple; it is a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods, considered one of the best Luxor tours.
Luxor Temple
The Luxor temple, which is 3400 years old, was built by King Amenhotep III and King Ramses II. After finishing our tour, we now transfer you in a private air-conditioned car to your Nile cruise. The rest of the day is relaxing. Then we spend the night on our authentic Nile cruise.

Colossi of Memnon
The massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments you’ll see during our morning visit to Luxor.
Valley of The Kings
Valley of the Kings, long narrow defile just west of the Nile River in Upper Egypt. It was part of the ancient city of Thebes and was the burial site of almost all the kings (pharaohs) of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties (1539–1075 BCE), from Thutmose I to Ramses X. Located in the hills behind Dayr al-Baḥrī, the 62 known tombs exhibit variety both in plan and in decoration. In 1979 UNESCO designated the valley part of the World Heritage site of ancient Thebes, which also includes Luxor, the Valley of the Queens, and Karnak.
Temple of Hatshepsut
The mortuary temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Her tomb, KV20, lies inside the same massif capped by El Qurn, a pyramid for her mortuary complex. At the edge of the desert, 1 km east, connected to the complex by a causeway lies the accompanying valley temple. Across the river Nile, the whole structure points towards the monumental Eighth Pylon, Hatshepsut's most recognizable addition to the Temple of Karnak and the site from which the procession of the Beautiful Festival of the Valley departed.

Edfu Temple
AM: Visit Edfu Temple the most well preserved Temple in Egypt dedicated to the Falcon God Horus. The Temple of Edfu is nearly intact and a good example of an ancient Egyptian temple. Its archaeological significance and high state of preservation have made it a center for tourism in Egypt and a frequent stop for the many riverboats that cruise the Nile. In 2005, access to the temple was revamped with the addition of a visitor center and paved parking lot. A lighting system was added in late 2006 to allow nighttime visits.
Kom Ombo Temple
PM: Visit the temple of Kom Ombo. A duplicated temple built for two gods, Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon, the lord of protection. The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC. Some additions to it were later made during the Roman period.

Aswan High Dam
The Aswan Dam, or more specifically since the 1980s, the Aswan High Dam, is one of the world's largest embankment dams, which was built across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt, between 1960 and 1970. When it was completed, it was the tallest earthen dam in the world, eclipsing the United States ' Chatuge Dam.
Temple of Philae
The Philae temple complex is an island-based temple complex in the reservoir of the Aswan Low Dam, downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser, Egypt. Until the International Campaign to Save the Monuments of Nubia, the temple complex was located on Philae Island, near the expansive First Cataract of the Nile in Upper Egypt. These rapids and the surrounding area have been variously flooded since the initial construction of the Aswan Low Dam in 1902. The temple complex was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam. The hieroglyphic reliefs of the temple complex are being studied and published by the Philae Temple Text Project of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna.

We booked this as a couple and I have to say the private guide made all the difference We had him all to ourselves for 5 days He was so passionate about Egypt he made us fall in love with it too The experience of standing in the middle of Karnak Temple with all those massive columns is something I cant describe You feel so small The admission fee for this cruise was on the higher side but for a private ultra deluxe experience it was actually really reasonable The length of visit at each temple was tailored to us we spent extra time at Edfu because I loved it and less time at a place I wasnt as into The atmosphere on the ship was romantic and quiet we loved having breakfast on our balcony watching the balloons go up over Luxor The staff were impeccable always one step ahead The crowd size wasnt an issue at all being private we avoided the rush The ship was beautiful all marble and polished wood The food was excellent with a good mix every day This cruise is best for couples who want a truly private and intimate experience The sail from Edfu to Luxor is stunning with the temples lighting up at night

I took my two teenage sons on this trip hoping to get them off their phones for a few days and it worked The guide was a young guy who was really cool he connected with them straight away He explained the battles of Ramses II at Abu Simbel like it was a movie plot The experience of seeing the actual mummy rooms at the Valley of the Kings was intense even for me The admission fee was well worth it for a family of four everything included kept the budget simple The length of visit was good the boys got tired at the second temple but we had the ship to go back to and swim The atmosphere on the ship was relaxed during the day and fun at night they had a DJ one night which the boys loved The staff were amazing with the kids always patient and smiling The crowd size was okay we went in shoulder season so it wasnt too crazy The ship was comfortable and clean the pool was small but perfect for cooling off This cruise is best for families with teenagers who need a bit of convincing to enjoy history The trip to Abu Simbel by road was an adventure in itself the convoy through the desert was exciting for them

I went on this cruise with my brother and we had a blast Were both into history so having a professional Egyptologist guide was the main reason we booked this specific trip And he did not disappoint The guy could read hieroglyphs like a newspaper he showed us cartouches and explained the stories behind the carvings at Edfu and Kom Ombo The experience of walking through the Valley of the Kings was surreal standing where pharaohs were buried The admission fee for the 5 days covered everything smoothly we never had to pull out our wallets for entry which was nice The length of visit was good we spent a good hour in each major temple which felt thorough The atmosphere on the ship was sociable we met other travelers at dinner and swapped stories The staff were all great very attentive and always asking if we needed anything The crowd size was fine the cruise had a good number of people but it never felt overcrowded on the ship or at the sites because the timing was well managed The ship itself was modern and comfortable the pool was nice for a quick cool down This trip is best for history buffs who want deep knowledge and a comfortable base The optional Abu Simbel trip is a must do despite the early start

I went alone and it turned into a trip where I made friends for life The cruise had a great vibe not too party but definitely social I met a group of guys at the pool on the first day and we ended up doing all the tours together The guide was fantastic with our little crew he was funny and made the history lessons entertaining especially at Kom Ombo temple where he showed us the crocodile mummies The experience of taking a felucca ride in Aswan was a highlight so peaceful and different from the big ship The admission fee included so much I barely spent any extra money just on a few souvenirs The length of visit at each temple was perfect we had time to explore and take photos without being rushed The atmosphere on the ship at night was fun they had a Nubian show that was really cool The staff were super friendly and remembered our drink orders from day one The crowd size was good the ship was full but it never felt like a sardine can The views from the top deck while sailing are just unbeatable green fields desert and water This cruise is best for solo travelers who are open to meeting people The guide even helped us book a great spot for dinner in Luxor after the cruise ended Above and beyond

I went on this cruise with a friend and we had the time of our lives We are both into photography so this trip was a dream come true Every stop was more beautiful than the last We woke up early one morning to catch the sunrise over the Nile and the colors were just magical The ship sailed smoothly and it was so peaceful just sitting there with a coffee watching life on the riverbanks The guide was a really cool guy he knew all the best spots for photos at Edfu temple away from the crowds He also told us stories about the gods that were so entertaining The experience of visiting Abu Simbel was the highlight the sheer size of those statues is mind blowing The atmosphere in Aswan was more laid back than Luxor we loved the boat ride to Philae Temple The staff on the ship were always smiling and helpful one guy even showed us how to tie a traditional Egyptian scarf The admission fee was clear and we felt we got great value for a 5 day trip including all the excursions The crowd was fine at most places except the Valley of the Kings which was busy but again the guide navigated it well The length of visit at each site felt perfect we never felt rushed This is best for friends traveling together looking for adventure and amazing photos

I was on this cruise for a business retreat type thing a group of us from work went to disconnect and bond and it worked perfectly The ship had a great mix of relaxation and activity During the day we explored temples like Kom Ombo which is unique because its dedicated to two gods then we would have meetings or just chill on the deck in the afternoon The experience of being on the water really helped everyone relax and talk The staff were professional and discreet they handled our group of 15 with no issues at all The admission fee for the whole package was sorted by our company but from what I saw it covered everything including the amazing food The atmosphere on the ship was upscale but comfortable the lounge area was perfect for our evening chats The crowd size on the excursions was fine because we had our own guide so we didnt mix with other big groups The length of visit at Luxor Temple was just enough we saw it by night which was stunning with the lights The history here is so deep our guide was a proper expert and answered all our questions no matter how detailed This is best for business groups who want a mix of work and a truly memorable setting The highlight was probably the sail by at Edfu seeing the temple from the water as the sun went down was special

I took this trip with my wife for our anniversary and from start to finish it was perfect We had a cabin with a balcony which I highly recommend just watching the world go by from your room is therapy The guide was a lovely guy he made sure we had a private moment at Philae Temple when it was quieter and he took some great photos of us The experience of seeing the High Dam in Aswan was interesting but the real magic was the temples Abu Simbel was incredible the colors inside some of the tombs are still so vivid The admission fee felt like a good deal considering the quality of the ship and the private guiding The length of visit at each site was well paced we never felt exhausted or bored The atmosphere on the ship was romantic at night with the lights and the quiet lapping of the water The staff went above and beyond they set up a little cake and sang for our anniversary which was so sweet The crowd size at Karnak was large but our guide knew how to weave through and find quiet corners The whole trip felt luxurious but not stuffy The food was delicious every meal was a mix of local and international dishes This cruise is definitely best for couples celebrating something special

We booked this trip kinda last minute and honestly it was the best decision ever From the moment we got to the ship in Luxor everything was smooth The guide picked us up right on time and helped with our bags The ship itself was way fancier than I expected super clean and the staff knew your name by day two We did the Abu Simbel optional trip and let me tell you waking up early was so worth it The temples there are massive and our guide explained everything in a way that made history feel alive not like a boring school lesson The atmosphere on the ship was chill during the day when we were sailing and watching the green fields go by but at night they had a Galabeya party which was hilarious to see everyone trying on the traditional clothes The crowds at the temples were fine we went in winter so busy but organized The only place that felt packed was Karnak but again our guide knew the quiet spots to take photos The staff were all super helpful especially the dining room team always making sure we had enough water The price for the cruise felt fair for what you get all food all entry fees included and a private guide which makes a huge difference This is honestly best for couples who want a mix of romance and adventure

I went on this trip solo and was a bit nervous about being alone but honestly it was the best thing Ive done for myself in years The cruise had a mix of people families couples and solo travelers like me so I never felt out of place I spent my days exploring temples like Philae and Kom Ombo which are just stunning especially Philae sitting on its own island The whole experience felt very organized we never waited around for tickets or buses because our guide handled everything The admission fee for the extra stuff like Abu Simbel was clear upfront no hidden costs which I appreciated The length of visit at each stop was just right not too rushed at Edfu we had enough time to walk through the whole temple and take it all in The atmosphere on the ship was relaxed I loved sitting on the top deck with a book watching the Nile go by and the sun set over the palm trees The crowd size was good our group was small so it felt personal The staff were all friendly and professional and the guide was a true Egyptologist not just some random guy he answered all my geeky questions about hieroglyphics This is definitely best for solo travelers who want to meet people but also have their own space The food on board was good too lots of variety
