Red Beach

Red beach that it is arguably one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of Santorini. It is located only some steps away from the ancient site of Akrotiri. The small size of the beach creates a much crowded atmosphere and there are many days where most of the visitors choose not to make it all the way down to the beach and instead admire this unique landscape of red and black volcanic rocks from the headland.

Perissa Black Sand Beach

Black beach is a beautiful beach situated 15 km southeast of Fira extending for 7 km on the southeastern side of Santorini. The beach features unique charateristics, black sand, crystalline waters and various beach facilities. However, the enormous rock called Mesa Vouno that rises from the sea is the main attraction of the beach and the entire area. Visitors are left spellbound by the stunning view of the rock especially when it shines in the dark. Perissa is a nice tourist resort witnessing a huge tourist movement that starts from in the middle of the summer season. The village offers a great variety of hotels for all tastes and budgets, restaurants, taverns, cafes and bars. The area is extremely developed with modern amenities and quite inviting while retaining its strong traditional character.

Sophgia was our driver and was excellent! We received an email the day before arriving that provided very good directions to get to our meeting place. Sophgia provided great information about the region, the history and highlights. The van was in excellent condition and very clean. We couldn’t imagine a better adventure.

Excellent tour. Fabulous experience Panos of Baikas Travel showed us Santorini in style and with professionalism. He shared lots of the Islands history so made our tour very interesting and informative. He was punctual polite, the perfect gentleman can only recommend Panos and Baikas Travel . Will definitely use only them if we return to Santorini .

We arrived on a cruise ship which starts with a tinder to shore. Then you have to buy a ticket on the tram up to town or a ticket to ride a donkey up to town. We chose the tram. The you walk through town to meet your guide. Our driver and guide for the day was Sofia. She was amazing she drove us all over the island to see things we asked to see and others she thought we would enjoy. We had a delicious lunch on the beach with her enjoying the views and local fare. Traffic was crazy and upon arriving back at the tram the line was so long to buy tickets we had to walk down the long path avoiding donkey sh*t to make our tinder back to the ship. All in all a great day and a great driver/guide.

We had an amazing tour with Panos. He took us to amazing views around Santorini and then to a restaurant where we could try different greek foods.

We had an amazing time on our private tour of the island. We where able to adjust the schedule so we went only to the places we wanted to see and had the perfect amount of time at each stop. Our driver and guide Mrs. Loanna were great and we really enjoyed the entire tour. We are a family of 4 and there was something for everyone. We would definitely recommend Baikas if you want to do a tour of Santorini with great and qualified company!
