Antananarivo

Your driver-guide will pick you up at the airport in Antananarivo and send you to the hotel, taking about 20 minutes. The rest day is free for you.

Kirindy Forest Morondava Madagascar

This morning, you will move on to the western city of Morondava by flight. Upon arrival, your local driver guide will pick you up at the airport and drive directly to the hotel, which sits right on the Morondava’s beach, Nosy Kely, and if you arrive early, just go for a leisurely stroll and a cursory glimpse of the local life.

Kirindy Forest Morondava Madagascar

After an early breakfast, we will drive 2.5 hours to Kirindy, passing the famous Avenue of the Baobabs on the road. You will pay a 3-hour visit to the Kirindy Forest and see many amazing animals, including the fossa (the only large carnivore in Madagascar), the giant jumping rats and a variety of lemurs and birds.

Bekopaka

Afterwards, you will take a boat to cross the Tsiribihina River and arrive at Belo sur Tsiribihina. Then you will be driven to the next stop Bekopaka (125KM/5h drive) and check in the hotel.

Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park

Visit the Tsingy of Bemaraha National Park, which features unique karst landscape, well-preserved mangroves, wild birds and lemur populations. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990. The major areas of the park is made up of rugged lime stones that have eroded into paper-thin and razor-sharp stone peaks. Your local guide will lead you to explore Tsingy area and its surroundings. At noon, enjoy picnic lunch inside the park. Set off to return to hotel at around 15:00-16:00.

Morondava

Drive you back to Morondava toady (200km / 9h drive). When you arrive in Belo sur Tsiribihina, you also need to take a boat to cross the Tsiribihina River. A beautiful sunset will be enjoyed at the baobab avenue on the way. On arrival, check in the hotel.

Antananarivo

Today, fly back to Antananarivo. Once landing, your driver based there will pick you up at the airport and drive along the RN2 to Andasibe (170km / 4h drive). Upon arrival, check in at your hotel.

Analamazaotra Special Reserve

After breakfast, we will drive to Analamazaotra National Park, where you will experience an exciting hike and marvel at red-bellied lemurs. Continue our tour to the private Vakona Reserve (Lemurs Island). You can see lemurs run around you so that you can photograph or even feed them up close. After that, your driver guide will take you to gain insights into Malagasy daily life in a local village and market. You might even learn a few simple words of Malagasy from the vendors!

Analamazaotra Special Reserve

In the morning, we will pay a visit to the Voimma Forest, also a captive breeding reserve. Indri Indri and other lemur species can still be encountered here along with some endemic plants, reptiles, and birds. Drive back to Antananarivo in the afternoon. En route, make a stop at the Reserve Peyreiras Madagascar Exotic, a private land surrounded by dense forest breeding and protecting a variety of butterflies, reptiles and lemurs. Upon arrival in Antananarivo, check in at your hotel.

Royal Hill of Ambohimanga

Today is the last day of your Madagascar safari tour. Let’s visit the sacred King’s Palace on Royal Hill of Ambohimanga in the morning.

Ivato

After the tour finishes, your driver will take you to Ivato Airport in Antananarivo according to your flight schedule. Hope you a pleasant homeward trip!
