The first festival took place more than 100 years ago, in 1903. Today the Rose Festival is an international event, visited and enjoyed by thousands of tourists and guests of Kazanlak. Enjoy VIP access to the Festival of Rose this year!
The Festival takes place in the last weekend of May every year or first weekend of June. In 2025 the culmination days of the festival are 05-07.06.2025.

5.00I wanted to show my business customers the beauty of the Rose valley while this off the season. We managed to make rose picking and behind the scenes visits for the implementation of the Rose festival. Incredible!!!

Were able to watch the rose picking ritual, picked and able to keep baskets of rose buds, front row seats at the festival parade, rose museum and the garden and then topped off with the damascena rose oil museum and factory. Hristo was excellent in making sure we were able to access everything which was greatly appreciated. A very memorable day

5.00I'm Bulgarian and I visited the rose festival several times but I never enjoyed it more than this time! We had the best seats with the best view which made our experience completely different than standing in the queue of people and giraffing to see something. Then we had a wonderful time in the old town of Kazanlak with special performance and tasting of rose products with the awarded Rose Queen. Truly amazing! And that's the real Bulgaria!
