he tour begins with a drive on the old northern highway road to the classical Mayan trading center of Altun Ha. As you learn about the Mayans who inhabited the site thousand of years ago, enjoy the same routes that these Mayans walked through and enjoy the amazing views from atop Altun Ha's highest monumental structures. This tour is a fantastic historical adventure.

Great tour we got to see and learn about the history of Altun Ha Temple and we got some authentic Belizean Food it was delicious!!! Also got to try the Belkin beer! Jose took good care of us!

We had an extra day in Belize City before joining our group. A half day visit to the ruins & a tour of the city was just right!
A must for those interested in the history of Belize and the Mayan people. We loved it!

Our private tour (two couples) was originally scheduled for Tuesday. Due to circumstances beyond his control, the owner Jose needed to change our tour to Wednesday. It was handled very well, and we were glad to adjust our tour. On Wednesday, Jose picked us up at the ferry dock at 8:30. He started the excursion with a tour of Belize City and some of the history of Belize. We arrived at Altun Ha early enough that we beat the cruise buses and had the historic site pretty much to ourselves. Jose's knowledge of the Mayan site was deep. We had enough time at the site to be very satisfied. As we were leaving, six cruise buses arrived, so the timing was perfect! After leaving Altun Ha, we were taken to a wonderful little restaurant for a lunch of the National Dish of Belize: stewed chicken, coconut rice and beans, and fried plantains. It was fabulous. We were returned to the ferry in plenty time for the 3:00 p.m. ferry. Our entire group agreed that we would definitely do a tour with Jose again.

Jose was very knowledgeable and flexible. He customized our trip, accommodated extra stops and added to the fun of the trip. He even arranged for airport transportation the day after our tour.

Jose's driver was sick. He got Nelson who is independent contractor. He was very nice talked about city and history. Coming back He was driving too fast as if he wanted to catch a plane. Didn't say anything and he Van was so old and doors were also broken At least we were expecting better vehicle.

Wonderful experience, Jose was very informative and the Mayan ruins/temple were beautiful. So much history! Great trip. Jose was there waiting for us as instructed.
10/10 will book them again.

Manuel was amazing, newer van smelled good very clean. Took care of us like we were his sisters. Provided water, great local lunch, and plenty of adventures. Awesome guide that knew all the history of the Ruins.

Our guide, José, owns the business and was very professional and responsive when I was communicating with him through Trip Advisor. It turned out that we were two couples instead of a private tour which was fine for us. The day went as planned and was very interesting 👍🏻

Communication was a bit challenging as the operator never responded to Viator messages. I found the number on Trip Advisor and was able to contact that way so crisis averted. We booked private yet had to share the vehicle with no price adjustment. The city portion of the tour was boring with nothing to see. The Mayan ruins were very nice and easy to walk around. Jose was a very nice driver/guide.

The city part of the tour was not much to see. The Mayan ruins were quite interesting and in very good shape with easy access. Jose did a good job of guiding through the facility. Decent lunch included.
