he tour begins with a drive on the old northern highway road to the classical Mayan trading center of Altun Ha. As you learn about the Mayans who inhabited the site thousand of years ago, enjoy the same routes that these Mayans walked through and enjoy the amazing views from atop Altun Ha's highest monumental structures. This tour is a fantastic historical adventure.

5.00This excursion was by far my favorite excursion. Ever since I wanted to go to Belize, I've wanted to go to the Mayan Ruins. And this excursion made me so happy! We climbed up the stairs of the tallest ruin temple in Altun Ha. It was so much fun, exactly what I wanted to do, we learned so much about the Mayans of that time and their culture. The ruins were beautiful. The view from the top was great. And we hiked it on a day where it was between 95-100 degrees outside with 100% humidity! We still had a great time. The lunch was so good shoutout to the chef lady there. The gifts at the shops were handmade and so beautiful! Definitely think of getting any souvenirs from this excursion and this site. It's unforgettable.

5.00Doesn't seem like there is an overwhelming amount of activities here to do, maybe there is and I don't know about them. But for what this one does, and what you get, and I like the guide and driver, same person but entertaining. So yeah, I think it was good

5.00Great private tour with only 2 couples. Very timely in picking us up from the cruise terminal. Very knowledgeable about the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins. Icing on the cake was a great lunch of chicken, rice and beans.

5.00We had a private tour with Jose today. He picked us up at the pier. Went to the Altun Ha ruin He explained it all to us. Then we drove around the city. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

5.00We had an amazing experience. Our tour, guide, Jeffrey was knowledgeable about the culture and history of Belize. He made it fun! This particular tour was 4-5 hours which included the ruins, lunch, and the city. It was not too exhausting like the all day tours. It was perfect for us. Thank you for a memorable experience.

5.00We had an extra day in Belize City before joining our group. A half day visit to the ruins & a tour of the city was just right!
A must for those interested in the history of Belize and the Mayan people. We loved it!

5.00Our private tour (two couples) was originally scheduled for Tuesday. Due to circumstances beyond his control, the owner Jose needed to change our tour to Wednesday. It was handled very well, and we were glad to adjust our tour. On Wednesday, Jose picked us up at the ferry dock at 8:30. He started the excursion with a tour of Belize City and some of the history of Belize. We arrived at Altun Ha early enough that we beat the cruise buses and had the historic site pretty much to ourselves. Jose's knowledge of the Mayan site was deep. We had enough time at the site to be very satisfied. As we were leaving, six cruise buses arrived, so the timing was perfect! After leaving Altun Ha, we were taken to a wonderful little restaurant for a lunch of the National Dish of Belize: stewed chicken, coconut rice and beans, and fried plantains. It was fabulous. We were returned to the ferry in plenty time for the 3:00 p.m. ferry. Our entire group agreed that we would definitely do a tour with Jose again.
