he tour begins with a drive on the old northern highway road to the classical Mayan trading center of Altun Ha. As you learn about the Mayans who inhabited the site thousand of years ago, enjoy the same routes that these Mayans walked through and enjoy the amazing views from atop Altun Ha's highest monumental structures. This tour is a fantastic historical adventure.

We were picked up just outside the Tourism village by Edwin. He drove us in a well air-conditioned vehicle to Altun Ha mayan ruins and took the time to explain the ruins and also the Belize vegetation. We were also treated to an native Belize meal. After lunch, Edwin took us to see some of the sites in the city that we had requested to see as well as to a couple places for photos.

This tour was great, especially with its price. Our driver, Dean, was very informative, the ruins were beautiful, and lunch was delicious!

Jose is an EXCELLENT guide!! He’s personable, kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable as well as entertaining. Our day included the Altun Ha ruins & a Belize City tour as well as a delicious lunch - a great introduction to Belize!! We feel so fortunate to have chosen this experience as a start to our trip. We HIGHLY recommend this tour!

We paid extra for what was supposed to be a private tour for the 2 of us. It turned out to be 3 separate couples crammed into a minivan and we had to wait almost an hour for the third couple to arrive even though they were on the same ship that we were on.

Jose was very nice and gave us a lot of information about the Mayas and Belize. We enjoyed the tour and the delicious lunch that was included.
