5.00Alex is to be commended for providing a superior tour of the Amalfi Coast. His vast knowledge and engaging personality made my family and me feel completely at ease throughout the tour. Mario, who served as our tour guide in 2022 during our initial visit, was outstanding in providing a comprehensive tour of Pompeii. His professionalism, expertise, and command of English were truly exemplary. Kudos to both! I highly recommend this tour company.

5.00Where do I even begin? My parents and I had such an incredible experience through the team at VisitAmalfiCoast! Back in 2022, my parents had taken a tour through this company and had returned speaking very highly of their guide Mario. Now in 2026, I was able to travel with them, and they insisted on booking with VisitAmalfiCoast once again. This time we had the pleasure of having Alex and Mario as our guides! From the beginning, Alex always picked us up on time, and is a fantastic driver, guide, and overall person. :) He explained so much detail of the towns and culture of the Amalfi Coast and was able to take us through several areas to explore before the crazy amount of buses of tourists had arrived (it helps to leave early and also have a skilled driver like Alex!). We were able to stop for shopping, food, and scenic photos on our way to Pompeii; and the entire time, Alex provided us with such rich information about each area we visited and also made us laugh with his great sense of humor. When we arrived at Pompeii, Mario gave a very detailed, informative, and incredibly intriguing tour of a great section of Pompeii (2-3 hours is definitely not enough time to spend in Pompeii, so if you want to see all of it, plan for at least two days there!). Mario was always open to questions, and he knows his history very well! I can see why he made such an impression on my parents with his enthusiasm for his country and specifically for the city of Pompeii. I highly recommend booking with VisitAmalfiCoast—you can tell that the team love what they do, and the price is reasonable for the quality they provide! When I return to Italy someday with friends, I will definitely book with them, and also hope to have Alex and Mario as our guides once again!

5.00We were greeted promptly at 7:45am and escorted through the beautiful landscape of the Amalfi Coast and smaller towns to reach Pompeii. Max was informative, eager to answer questions and kept our safety on the roads a priority. We had booked a private tour through Pompeii with Mario and he exceeded our expectations. His passion and enthusiasm was contagious. Mario’s knowledge and eagerness to share it was priceless. With Mario and Max’s assistance we wandered through Revelo, ate homemade pasta made by Nonna and had the most delicious pastries. We can’t wait to go back!!

5.00We had a truly perfect day in Amalfi! We were on a cruise so only had one day in the port of Naples and wanted to make the most of it. Boy did we! Thanks to Diego! Communication before our trip and meeting place was excellent! His van was very nice and comfortable. Diego was able to help us customize our day and very accommodating for my husband that walks with a cane. We decided on a beautiful drive to Positano for the spectacular views and picture moment, then onward to Sorrento where we enjoyed the town for shopping and a bite to eat. We then traveled to Pompeii where he arranged for his colleague Mario to meet us for a private whirlwind tour of what was an incredible site to see and a step into history. We stopped along the way at a lovely non-tourist restaurant for a delicious lunch. All that and back to port in perfect timing to be back on board our cruise. It was perfect! No tour bus, no group tours with a guide carting a flag just an individual experience we will never forget. Thank you Diego! We will recommend to all our friends and family and look forward to coming back!

5.00Our group of four had a fabulous day along the Amalfi Coast with Mario. He met us at the cruise terminal and customized our itinerary to minimize time in traffic, which we greatly appreciated. Mario has a relaxed, easy-going style and communicates very well. He is also extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the area. He went into wonderful detail about Herculaneum, which turned out to be a perfect alternative to Pompeii. Once again, we avoided the massive crowds by following this itinerary. All in all, the day was both fun and educational. Mario is easily one of the best guides (more like a personal host) we’ve had on the Amalfi Coast.
