• Amazing Amalfi area & Half day Pompeii tour!!!

  My husband and my first visit to Italy and what an Amazing experience!!! We were fortunate to find Mario with Private Driver Naples who arranged a day for us based on what we were wanting to see and do around the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. It went off seamlessly. Eugene was our driver who met us at the train station and escorted us in a very well appointed and air-conditioned vehicle. He provided us with so much information on the area, stopped along the way for pics and we were able to enjoy some free times in the towns along with a Incredible lunch at a Restaurant high above the coastline. It was like we were living in a dream. Lastly, we met up with Mario, who really opened our eyes to all that occurred in Pompeii, how the people lived and events that took place there. I never realized how large the city was and you could definitely spend a few hours there. I was never really big on history, but Mario was so knowledgeable and made learning about the times so fun and interesting!   We were very happy with the service provided by Mario at privatedrivernaples. We were picked up at the train station, driven to Herculaneum, Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi, back to Naples, and to the airport. Mario and his drivers were always on time, were friendly and knowledgeable, and got us where we needed to go. We were especially pleased with Giovanna, the guide he arranged for Herculaneum and Pompeii. She was enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable, and was a pleasure to be around.

  This was the most Amazing Experience my husband and I had on our first visit to Italy!!! I booked this trip through Private Driver Naples. The process was seamless! I was able to plan the trip with suggestions from Mario. It was easy to book the train from Rome to Naples and our driver and tour guide Eugene was right there to pick us up and at the end of the trip dropped us off to get the train back to Rome. Eugene was so knowledgeable and soooo much fun!!! We had time to visit and shop some of the towns and stopped a beautiful points to have pics taken. The best was the restaurant tbh at he booked for us overlooking the coast!!! Food and views were Amazing!!!! After that we were driven to Pompeii were Mario gave us a tour through the site. ImMario did an excellent job in explaining the type period and what occurred in such an interesting way. I learned so much about Pompeii!!! Don’t hesitate to book with this trip!!!   Outstanding local guides who provide seamless travel experiences. The guides are extremely knowledgeable and attentive, and they will do everything in their power to make your trip amazing! The Pompeii private tour with Mario was outstanding! The Best of Amalfi tour with Eugene was wonderful, as well! Do not hesitate to book with this tour group. They are The Best!!

  I cannot recommend this experience enough! We were coming in from Ischia to Naples by ferry and Eugenio was right there to pick us up and help with our bags. He is wonderfully warm and very knowledgeable having grown up in Naples. The drive to Positano was absolutely stunning, and Eugenio gave us information on points of interest along the way. He recommended a wonderful place for lunch in Sorrento as well. We were both very tired from days packed with activities, so the comfort of the van and being driven everywhere without having to think about transportation was one of the best parts. Once we arrived at Pompeii we met Mario, our personal guide to these amazing ruins. Mario was SO knowledgeable and the tour was AMAZING. Pompeii is huge and we would have had a lot of difficulty navigating it by ourselves. Mario (a 3rd generation guide!) made everything so easy and informative. I can’t stress enough how much I recommend this add-on. We were on a two week trip with family and this was our one day away to really be fully on our own. • Amazing experience from beginning to end

  I booked this experience not knowing what to expect, but it was truly excellent. Eugenio, our driver and tour guide, was knowledgeable, courteous, and funny. It was a rainy day at first but he made the best of it. We drove from Naples to positano, sorrento, and Pompeii and back to Naples. The restaurant recommended by Eugenio in Sorrento was beautiful and the food was delicious. We could have stayed a day in each location but it was enough to get a taste of the cities and want to return. Would highly recommend this and Eugenio!

  Amazing experience! First off Mario and Diego were so great with communication before the tour. Made things so easy for us and made us feel special! Diego picked us up at our hotel and gave some great information about his home town of Napoli on our drive to Amalfi. He recommended we use a tour guide of Pompeii that we thought we would not need. So happy we listed! Mario was a wealth of information and really gave us world class tour with so much detail of the amazing Pompeii history.   I can't fully express what an extraordinary experience we had with Mario as our guide. We were picked up at the port, spent our day traveling the Amalfi Coast and ended our afternoon by experiencing the wonders of Pompeii. The sights were outstanding, but the true jewel of the day was the level of support and expertise offered by Mario. Each of us (including some ornery teenagers) loved our day. Mario made the experience both interesting and deeply informative. As we completed our amazing tour of the Napoli area, we feel so fortunate that we had the benefit of Mario and the Visit Amalfi Coast tour company.

  Pompeii and Herculaneum in one day – A complete and unforgettable experience We visited Pompeii and Herculaneum with Mario and Diego and it was, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful experiences of our trip to Italy. Everything was organized impeccably: comfortable and punctual transfer in a brand new Mercedes, with air conditioning, which made the day extremely pleasant and stress-free. Diego, our driver, was fantastic — professional, friendly and always helpful. Our guide was Mario, a true expert, with an extraordinary archaeological background and a unique ability to tell these places in a clear, engaging and never boring way. Being Neapolitan, he transmits an authentic passion and a deep knowledge of the territory. In Pompeii he introduced us not only to the most iconic places, but also to the new excavations and the most recent archaeological research, explaining how the site is still evolving today. It was fascinating to understand what archaeologists are still discovering and how interpretations change over time. In Herculaneum, however, we saw another face of the Roman world: perfectly preserved houses, charred woods, incredible details rarely found elsewhere. Mario also explained the physical and chemical conditions of the eruption that allowed such an extraordinary conservation. The tour was perfectly balanced, rich in content but never heavy. Thanks to the skip-the-line tickets we avoided long waits and made the most of every moment. This was not just a visit, but a real immersion in history. Highly recommended for those who want to experience Pompeii and Herculaneum in an authentic, in-depth and high-level.
