5.00honestly didn’t think we’d have time for anything but duty free and bad airport coffee. but Otto met us at the gate with a stroopwafel (YES), helped stash our bags and suddenly we were sipping jenever on a canal corner like locals?? felt like i blinked and had a 1-day trip in 5 hours. Otto is funny as hell too. best decision we made on this whole trip.

5.00I lived in Amsterdam for two years and thought I knew the city pretty well — but when my family had a 7-hour layover at Schiphol, I booked this tour so they could get a taste of the city without getting lost or overwhelmed. I decided to tag along just to keep them company... and wow. Otto blew us away. He’s got that rare combo of deep knowledge and hilarious delivery. We didn’t just eat stroopwafels — we learned why they exist. We didn’t just walk the canals — we learned how they changed global trade. He even made my dad laugh, which is a miracle on 3 hours of sleep. I’ve walked past the flower market and Begijnhof dozens of times — but seeing it through Otto’s eyes made me fall in love with the city all over again. And yes, we were back at the airport early, full of food and great stories. Highly recommend, even if you think you "know" Amsterdam.
