Elisa showed me a neighborhood in which she lives. We visited a unique market in her neighborhood. It is considered the best market for meats in Buenos Aires. The people are super friendly within the market. Our next stop was to a barrio close to the market in which we saw an incredibly beautiful church where the pope was baptized. Down the street was the oldest coffee shop in Buenos Aires and it was super interesting to see how Argentinians have their snacks at 5 PM with pastry and coffee before having dinner at 9 o’clock at night. It is a great way to socialize. Our final stop was a tango school that is full of all kinds of unique creations by many different artists. This place has also shows but mainly for locals. We were fortunate to be able to see some of the dancers preparing for a show. It was totally a unique experience. I strongly recommend this tour if you have interest in exploring neighborhoods outside of the typical tourist circuit.

Elisa was the best tour guide you could hope for in Buenos Aires. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable and informed, she was also able and willing to share her own personal experiences and the experiences of close family and friends in order to really illustrate the history of the neighborhoods and events she shared with us, in a way that made them feel personal and relevant. She was fun and energetic, and also sincere and open minded when we asked questions. The best part is that she went out of her way to plan a tour completely personalized to what we were interested. I can’t recommend Elisa enough.

Elisa is very knowledgeable of the architecture and history of this beautiful area. She welcomed any questions we had and showed us some interesting places. Unfortunately, not her fault, that some of the places she had hoped to share with us were closed because of the Easter holiday season. Still, it was a delightful and informative tour. I highly recommend this kind of tour to really get to know Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Toured interesting places that many don't see during a visit to BA. Elisa had all the answers and if we noticed something along the way, she was able to provide commentary. Worth the time and $.

I was fortunate to find this guide! Elisa was very knowledgeable and passionate about Argentina. Before the trip, she made an effort to understand our interests and tailor the experience accordingly. She accommodated us in every way, even choosing the shady side of the street during the walk when possible to avoid the heat. The excursion included sites truly off the beaten path. The information she provided was not in my guidebook. I highly recommend this company and the wonderful guide!

Recommend you book this tour well before you are to arrive in Buenos Aires or Elisa may not be available, that is how good she is. You have not seen Buenos Aires unless you've taken one of her private tours.

We just had an amazing “Off the Beaten Path Tour” of Buenos Aires with Elisa! She took us on two house tours that were definitely off the beaten path showing us amazing architecture, collections and art that unique to this amazing city. Elisa also hired a driver allowing us to quickly move between points of interest across the city. We were so lucky to have her as our tour guide!!!

If you want an original guided tour of Buenos Aires you are in for an unforgettable treat with Elisa. We visited sites which we would have never discovered on our own but more importantly the knowledge she brings to the tour is very impressive. She adapts her tour with what you want to know be it historical facts or architectural details and more. You can tell she is very passionate with what she does. This tour is one of many she offers and we did another one because she was so amazing.

Because of a schedule conflict Elisa could not do a standard tour for me. However, she was able to develop a tailored 3 1/2 hour version at a mutually convenient time which was truly outstanding. For me, the highlight was the two barrios we visited which were totally devoid of tourists, exposing me to the real Buenos Aires. Key sights included a food market used by locals, the church where Pope Francis was baptized, an "old time" barbershop still in operation, unusual street art, and a clothing store where tango dancers purchased their outfits.
